cool, well i got my first appointment friday, and im really looking forward to it, can anyone tell me what to expect? only if you dont mind though xx
  • Hi All

Another newbie here, i have a meeting with a CDC tomorrow morning at 9am and im sooo excited!!
Having been on Slimming world which seems like forever i am at that point where i have had enough and am bored with their diet, im not getting the results i want.
I had a baby in the beginning of Sept and have 8lbs to go to get to my pre pregnancy weight which is great but then i still want to lose another stone off of that to get to my target.
Having spoken to the CDC tonight, she said i couldnt do the sole source as my BMI is 25 but I could do the 790 or 1000 programme, I think im gonna opt for the 790 as i want a quicker weight loss and im hoping the 790 plan will do that.

Just a question, i also train in the gym upto 5 times a week (twice with a Personal Trainer) Am i still ok to train this amount of times a week or will i be totally knackered due to the drop in calories?

Also if i stick to this 100% how quick do you think i could lose that stone and 8lbs.

Thanks for reading and well done everyone on your weightlosses you really are an inspiration to me.

First visit usually lasts about an hour where your CDC will take a note of your weight/height she will also measure your waist/hips/bust/thighs/upper arms.

Then you will have to fill in a medical form and your CDC will talk about the way this diet works. Good Luck!!

brilliant thanks, so perhaps ill be starting it as soon as ive seen her or will i have to wait for anything she might have to get sorted, i just cant wait lol x
  • You usually start straight away.

If the medical form needs to be signed by your GP there could be a delay.

    Hope all goes well!

can CD be used by vegetarians (inc. NO eggs and fish diet)?
  • Yes PM - veggies are ok but one of the soups has real chicken in it - if you check on the website it will tell you - I think its the chicken and mushroom

Hi everyone, havent logged in for a bit - have been really off and feeling rubbish for last ten days - nothing to do with diet - other health problems. Have therefore had a sort of half break from CD - have still been having my shakes but adding some food too. Put 5lbs back on straight away but nothing more so I suppose that was just the glycogen gain the CDCs tell you about. Im still feeling a bit crappy but on the mend and hoping to be back on SS at the weekend.

Hope you all are doing well. Hope you had a good holiday Cute n Quirky and well done on your continuing success!

Hope you all have a great valentines day tomorrow - no choccies!!
    :o
  • This is from the Cambridge Website -

    Is Cambridge suitable for vegetarians?

There is only one item in the range which is not suitable for vegetarians – the Chicken and Mushroom Soup which contains real chicken in the flavouring. There are various degrees of vegetarianism, some stricter than others and depending upon motivation.
Strict vegetarians will be reassured to know that non-animal rennet is used in the whey protein in the Cambridge meal bars. Trimmer nutrition bars however are not suitable, they contain animal rennet. Strict vegans, who shun all dairy products, will of course not be able to use either Trimmer or Cambridge Diet products, although they could use Cambridge soy products.
