I have really horrid neighbours who can see my washing line, and seeing as they throw litter (and have even spat) into my garden I am cautious anyway when hanging out washing.

Anyway when the weathers good enough to dry stuff outside any undies get put on an clothes horse/airer, placed outside the back door where they can't be seen by anyone else -(big shrubs etc block anyone's view), and over a radiator airer winch fits on the frame of the bathroom window (and also can't bee seen by anyone). :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

    Really??

Do you think the neighbours will get a thrill from seeing your pants?

They could just look in the littlewoods catalogue if they want to see some undies! :)

But why look in littlewoods when you can look at worn pants out on the line........

Yes, but I put have a rotary dryer, and put such garments on the "inside", so they are flanked by other garments on line behind and in front of them.

LOL, I do this as well.

When we 1st moved into our house I put everything on the line-until one week later on a windy day but great drying day! My new neighbour (Jim) brought back my undies that had blown over the fence,I had only let onto the guy once or twice previous to that.To add insult to injury they weren't even one of my better pairs and I have never in the 12 years since put any on the line.As a P.S to this I arrange my washing in order..D.S tops then trousers.. D.D tops then skirts or dresses ..my tops then trousers..lastly if there's room O.H tops the trousers is that odd?
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

They were indeed, thieving swines. I'm not sure why but there are quite a lot of birds around here so perhaps they thought it was suitable material for making a nest? Or perhaps the washing powder I use contains some sort of bird pheromone?

Either way, it was either train the dogs to be on 24 hour guard, or just dry my undies on a clotheshorse in the utility room. I'm pretty lazy so went for the second option.

The birds leave my other clothes alone, although I have discovered bird leavings on them a few times. Jerks.

Had a bird sneak into the kitchen the other week. Took an hour to get it to leave. I've seen Hitchcock's film about them. I'm on to those feathered menaces.

Tropez you sound like a right BIRD magnet!!!!!:rotfl:

It seems I am. Shame it is only the feathered kind though.

Although I maintain that their attitude towards me is sinister in nature, which in fairness would make them very similar to the non-feathered variety.

I put the really worn out underwear aside, when they're at the "last wear" stage. I then use them for travelling with. Instant disposable underwear - really handy during long haul flights, etc.
