My ears are finally better, although I still had a bit of tinnitus at work around lunch!
I had a good day today. My friend was going to the Making of Harry Potter with her sister, but her sister was ill and couldn't make it, so I got invited! My friend didn't want to go by herself, so I went for free lol. I feel sorry for her sister though.
It was a good evening, I left work a bit early to go, but I only need to make up 1 hour as I went in early. You got to walk around the sets and see the prosthetics.etc and go into the Great Hall and Diagon Alley as well as seeing the model of Hogwarts castle, which is huge!
I do think that if I hadn't got a free ticket I wouldn't have gone as £28 is a lot of money for a few hours entertainment! Also the shop was horrendously expensive, £22 for a scarf?! I did buy some chocolate though at £4. Probably the cheapest thing in the shop lol.0 -
Wow what a busy day! Had to make some time up at work, so that was an extra hour. But I did enjoy my lunch break out in the sun walking along the Thames. But I did spend money on lunch, Whoops! But I've made my lunch for tomorrow, a nice wrap with barbecue sauce, chicken, bacon, cheese, red pepper and cucumber. So I'll be looking forward to that! Also made a (cold) bacon roll for breakfast, as I had some bacon left from the bacon cheeseburgers I made at my brother's on Sunday.
Just updated my spend diary, going to be trying to stick to £50 this week including food. So hopefully I'll do it lol. But I have a crazy busy week! Going to the Blink 182 Thursday, need to go shopping for 2 birthday presents, then on Friday might be going out, and Saturday is a house party for someone's birthday, then Sunday hopefully I wont be too hungover as I'm going to Wimbledon to watch tennis for the Olympics!
I need to do nothing tomorrow after work, I'm already knackered and it's only Tuesday! Also I have a cold

So I have some money coming to me soon! A shame it's a refund of the now cancelled Blink 182 gig! How annoying! I lose out on the booking fee though

I was looking forward to that as well, I waited over 1.5 years to see them when I bought my previous ticket to the other gig that got postponed, then I couldn't go on the rearranged date!
Don't think I'll be buying a ticket to see them again, something's bound to go wrong again!0 -
Pay day today!! Woop!
Somehow I've got more money that I thought I would get! I have no idea how they've worked it out. I thought I'd get 1.5 or 2 weeks work paid since I started the 16th. But somehow I've got a lot more. I need my paylsip lol.0 -

Figured it out. The director on one of the shows was wondering why he got paid more than he thought he, so he phoned HR, turned out we've been paid until the 31st not today
I've played the lottery today Euromillions, I do this occasionally, when there's large events or jackpots on. So if I win I'll let you know!
I've also been naughty and order Pizza Hut, but its a special occasion with the Olympic Ceremony.0 -
So got a reply from tax office about my tax refund, they need more info about any job seekers allowance I claimed and any p45s I have and P60s. So will copy them, print them off and send them a letter with my calculations on.
Bring on the £600 tax refund (hopefully lol)0 -
So spent the day today in Wimbledon watching 4 matches, including Andy Murray! Didn't really have a money saving day, I had a hot dog, baguette, strawberries and cream and a cider... whoops! But you don't go to Wimbledon every day. So glad I had centre court tickets, as it rained, so the roof was up all day.
£30 for 8 hours of tennis isn't bad, so I'm happy about that.
Here's a (cropped) picture from my compact camera (took my DSLR too, but will need to upload them later)

Hey,
I'm a tad jealous of you day at the olympics. I applied for a few tickets but by the time i'd paid from train tickets and hotels it'd of cost me an arm and a leg. Ohh I have a DSLR got it from christmas really need to get out and about with it. Have you done much with yours?
