:rotfl: it looks lovely!
Enjoy the lie in!in_need_of_direction wrote: »It truly does. I love both root veg and sausagesthe AWOLness was noticed, y'know :rotfl: sorry about the problems, but progress is progress! I wish I could say "I'll just wrap a couple of presents a day" but that routine is like torture for me, I have to blitz it, sadly.
Root veg and oranges are featuring heavily in the veg boxes at the moment so watch this space for similar recipes.
I enjoy wrapping presents Karma but only if it's a few at a time - I lose the will to live if I have to do a lot at once. Nice to know I was missed

- anyhoo, I got me a 'truckle' (little round waxed thingummy) of cheddar with caramelised onions for 85p - purely on the basis that if we don't like it on a cracker, we can melt it on us veggies!

That sounds like a fabulous idea Greying. I think the DSs and partners are coming to stay the weekend before Christmas and a cheeseboard would be ideal Saturday night fare after a day out. Thanks for the tip.

Hello Stripes and thank you for popping in. I love to cook and have recently started getting a weekly organic vegetable box to encourage me to eat British grown, seasonal produce. I'm feeling healthier as a result and it helps my budget when I menu plan and cook from scratch. It's one of the fundamental money saving things for me so I often record veg box use and recipes in my diary.
Do pop in again. I'm off now to see whether you have a diary so I can return the compliment
See you soon

Absolutely hun - so versatile. You could always have a pot of soup on the side, just in case appetites had really been whipped up in the great outdoors. Plus a little bread would cross over between being used with a cup of soup, or used as a carrier for a slab of cheese
Love nattering about food, me - can you tell? :rotfl: I'm also catching up with last week's Food Programme on i-player as I typeObsessed! :rotfl:

Naw really? Would never have guessed!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Loving the thought of a cheese board! Tis the time to scout out the shops for interesting bits & bobs! We usually pick up a jar or two of olives & some anitpasti veg from L!dl's along with several types of crackers and some fancy continental meat for either our xmas eve meal or boxing day meal! We tend to spread all the holiday treats over the two holiday weeks, so that we can enjoy everything without being stuffed! Smaller meals over several days rather than one big meal!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! - a lie in was had
- a little housework
- sorted out some things for Mr F to take to the tip and the charity shop
- made Orange, Carrot & Mint Soup for lunch which we had with a warm ciabatta roll. Half went into the freezer for another day
- more work on the Jag https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt
- made Chocolate Orange & Honey Muffins which I had to put in the freezer very quickly to stop us eating them all immediately :rotfl:
- leftover Sausage & Root Veg Bake with mash for supper. I made extra mash for the Bubble & Squeak Fishcakes I'm planning on making tomorrow.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
