Saw your post on Maggiecons thread, hope you don't mind if I tag along for veggie recipes?

I've also been making naans - Peshwari. Using an adaped Anjum Anand's recipe. DD has made potato and pea samosas. Delish. :D

Lovely to see you supersaver. Welcome on board.

I think I used the Anjum Anand's recipe for the dough too. Samosas sounds delish - might have to attempt them soon.

Having said I post lots of veggie recipes, yesterday's both had meat in  Next on the meal plan is a Squash Macaroni Cheese though so normal service is resumed.

    (Virtually) see you soon.

  • It seems my mojo is returning - what a relief!
    • made really good progress with the Jag commission this morning. Most of the body work is now done. I'm hoping to get her finished before I start Jury Service as I'm not sure what time I'll have then. https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt
    • we had leftover Ham & Cabbage Hash for lunch
    • Across-the-Lane-Neighbour has invited us over for supper tonight so I/ve made Blackberry Cupcakes to take over for pudding. It's an impromptu invitation and, having skipped my veg box and Waitr0$£ shop this week I didn't have much in. I found blackberries in the freezer though ;) We'll take some wine from the rack too - the last of the red :(
    • got some ironing in as Mr F is away all of next week and needs the shirts.
I am hoping to have a fairly moderate evening as Mr F will be marching in the village Remembrance Parade tomorrow. He has finally got his medals mounted and they look fab.

Hope you're having a great evening

I'm sure Mr F is up to it Karma - we could have done without the unexpected bill though.

It's that time of year I think GMOOD - I always get a bit maudlin around the time the clocks go back.

Thanks for the vote of confidence on the Jag - I'm hoping the light's ok tomorrow so I can get some more done.

    Hope you're weekend's been a good one.

  • We went into the village to join the Remembrance Parade today. Mr F was asked to be Escort to the Colours. He and another veteran accompanied the standard bearer during the Parade and in the Church. So proud of him. He was wearing his newly mounted medals and looked very smart.

We went for a drink with the Legion in the pub next door after and stayed on for lunch. £36.50 from the entertainment budget.

We've spent very little from the entertainment budget in recent weeks. Mr F has been away so much he hasn't really wanted to do much at the weekend.

He's away this week too, left about 4.00 pm and won't be back until Friday :(

    Hope you slept well, FS.

Lovely "Lest We Forget" post, thank you. We've had many serving soldiers in the family, but the only one who died on active duty was my uncle, aged only 23 when he died, so I never knew him.

    Hi Karma

Mr F's grandfather came through WW1 but his Uncle Albert didn't make it. We have both their letters sent home from the trenches. I keep asking Mr F to get them down from the attic so I can type them up. Will have to nag him harder.
