Hope you slept well, FS, and you're back to normal today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks for thinking of me Karma, I'm feeling much better today and have been far more productive:
- a visit to the dentist. I have a receding gum! This could be because of my 'bite' or that I'm being a little over enthusiastic with my brushing. Lets hope it's the latter otherwise there'll be some cost involved. I have been given a tooth brushing lesson and will need to wear my night time retainer three times a week
No payment needed today as I have a monthly payment plan to cover my check ups - drove into the market town to meet my DC. She will be in Wales all winter so I might not see her for a while. Bought her lunch as a goodbye treat - £25.65
- went to an exhibition of local artists in the Vestry Hall. There was some lovely work there. I particularly liked the work of Louisa Crispen. She does the most amazing pencil drawings. I might put something of hers on my Christmas list this year
- popped into the Flower Shop that displays some of my own work - the set of Bee paintings has sold! That's £65 less 10% commission to the shop owner. What a lovely surprise
- picked up 2 jars of malt extract in the local greengrocer. It's the only place I can get it. The rate malt loaf disappears in the Fortunate household I may be keeping him in business for a while :rotfl:
- did a small top up shop in the C0-0p to tide us over as Mr F is away next week. Came in a few pennies under budget.
- redeemed £50 from UGuv :T At last!
- the rest of the Vegetable Curry for supper with a little cream added this time for variety. And - puffs up chest - I made my own Peshwari Naan for the first time. Mr F said "Your Naan turned out ok then" which is praise indeed from him

Excellent news, all round!
With the dental thing, do you use the little interdens brushes, that go *between* your teeth? They last about 3 days, but you buy them 20 a time for around £3? Ah, just found them on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wisdom-Clean-Between-Interdental-Brushes/dp/B008FRLTN2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1415349537&sr=8-4&keywords=interdens
Sorry to preach, if you're already using them, but I've found them invaluable

Hi guys
I used two recipes for the Naan - one because it used SR Flour and I didn't have any yeast and the other because I had all the ingredients for that particular filling. Next time I think I'll try with yeast (I've never used it before) and dry fry rather than grill as I think this gives you more of the traditional texture and colour. I'll try and find another filling recipe too as the one I used had to be put in the blender and I only have a small hand held one so it took ages. The recipe made 5 so there are 3 in the freezer for another time.
Silly to get so excited about making Naan Bread but at least I'm easy to please :rotfl:

Hi Karma
I do use the interdental brushes but I've never thought of getting them from Amazon. There are some savings to be made there me thinks. Thank you

If that saves money, thats great. Those ones are on sale in Sainsbo too, at that price - the ones that dentists sell are *much* more expensive.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I'm almost back to normal post flu jab

Todays efforts:- a little more work on the Jag (work in progress here for anyone who'd like a look https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt)
- Ham & Cabbage Hash for lunch without the ham for me
- got some housework done
- paid £440 for a replacement prop shaft for Mr F's landie  It suddenly gave out and there was no saving it. We thought it best to get it sorted before any bad weather arrives as she may be needed then. So a withdrawal from savings made

- Parsnip & Pancetta Tagliatelle for supper (thank you Jamie)
