Sent Mr F off early this morning. He won't be back until Thursday evening
Have cheered myself up with some Christmas holiday research
I've been out every day for the last 2 weeks to pick caterpillars off of the Pak Choi - sometimes twice a day! They are still happily munching their way through my stir fry plans
In better news, a cheque came through the door today for the Aston :T And Mr F got a £25 voucher from work as a thank you for all the work he's done so far. I said he should buy himself a little treat with it but he said he would donate it to my next clothes shopping tripI love Mr F.

Mr F arrived home late last night and gave me the voucher :happyhear I should have some H0u$£ of Fra$£r and J0hn L£wi$ vouchers coming soon too so I shall take myself off clothes shopping with them all. I have been watching what I eat this week as my clothes are starting to feel very snug again. Don't want to go up a dress size.
The veg box arrived this morning with the free recipe book :T I think we must be the first on the driver's round as he came very early and quietly left the box where we'd asked. Everything looks nice and fresh. All the items were as expected except I'd asked them not to send me celery (urgh) so they added a spring cabbage instead. Also, my carrots are purple :rotfl:I made the Pancetta & Cavolo Nero Tart for lunch and it was delicious. Mr F said it reminded him of his childhood. His parents were very keen gardeners and fed the family from their vegetable plot. Mr F also said he was going to be away the whole week with work  So who am I going to feed all this veg to!
We may go out tomorrow and buy a 2nd freezer. Mine's quite a small one and usually full of fruit for making gin :rotfl:I'd love to be able to take more advantage of food windfalls and freeze meals for those days when there's no time to cook or I'm not feeling up to it.
It's the weekend everyone!

The new freezer will be arriving on Wednesday :T I shopped around for the best price and went through TCB to get some cashback. Can't wait. It will double my freezer capacity.
The purple carrots were added to a minestrone soup for today's lunch. They kept their purple colour and shared it with the potatoes too :rotfl:Everything is super fresh and tasty so far.
And the best news... we have booked a holiday over Christmas. Vienna! I used some money from the savings rather than pay extra to use a credit card. The plan is to put the money back in by Christmas. Soooo excited.
Can't believe we've managed to achieve so much this year. I'm sure it wouldn't have been possible without following good MS principles.
Happy days

Hi Fortune!
How exciting for you! A holiday! Yippee!!!! Hope you have a wonderful time!
I grow purple carrots in the garden and I find they are better in salads than cooked. They do seem to leak purple everywhere when you cook them. :rotfl:
Have a great weekend (or what's left of it)
