Well done on finishing the painting :)
  • The endowment money has been shuffled and allocated so I thought I'd have a recap on our goals for the year

    • Overpay Mortgage - we have now paid 70% of our original mortgage :j
    • Home Improvements - really pleased with progress. Lots of items purchased, large and small, and we've decorated a room
    • Emergency Savings - target reached :T I've now added an amount to my original target though to cover our contribution to the wedding. Currently we've saved 74% of the new increased total
In light of progress, Mr F and I are thinking we could stretch to a holiday over Christmas. I'll think on that.

Having been away all week with work, Mr F is now away all weekend on a 4x4 jolly! Actually, it's nice having a little quiet time working to my own agenda. I feel a Bake Off catch up coming on :rotfl:

    Have a good weekend all

  • Thanks guys. Very happy to be moving in the right direction.

Today I have ticked a few things off my list:
    • ordered an organic fruit and veg box delivery from Ab£l & Col£. It's something I've been considering for a long time and, with the offer of a free recipe book and my fourth box free, I've gone for it. You get to see what's planned for your box quite a way in advance so I'm planning to base the meal plan around whatever's in there. I'm hoping this will help me to use seasonal, local produce and try things I wouldn't usually. Cavolo nero anyone?
    • did the Waitr0$£ shop but reduced my budget to take into account the veg box cost. Should come in slightly under
    • did a little PTFA work
    • did a little housework. I'm trying to do a bit each day to keep on top of things
    • tidied up the Jag photos and sent them off to the customer so they can choose the one they want to have painted
    • painted and submitted a Branch logo for my local WI. They are having a competition. If you'd like to see it it's on my FB page here https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt
    • made Gnocchi with Gorgozola for supper from the meal plan
Mr F is off again early tomorrow. He's been away so much recently that my friends have suggested I might have buried him under the patio  He hasn't annoyed me that much yet but a few more Landie parts turning up in my kitchen appliances might do it :rotfl:

    Happy Monday all

  • Yum, cavolo nero  this is my favourite cavolo nero recipe!
