This is going to sound nuts now unless I have missed some thing but im pretty sure you don't have to give it back at the end of the 2 year, You only have to give it back at the end if you wish to get another tablet.

If this is the case im going to be even more mad at the end than I am now.

At present I have received and Email from know how who are looking into this and should be contacting me today or tomorrow to see what is going to happen.

As some one said the sales team are really trying to mislead people not sure if its happened in other stores but it defo is in mine.

Even when I went to as the 1st sales person and i quote this is what i said, What different price plans do you have for tablets, his response was set this guy up on infinity.

Really who would by some thing they have to give back in 2 years. stupidly I did lol

It's leasing - it's becoming increasingly popular in cars too.

The extra costs are linked to all the extra features - if you get breakdown cover/cloud backup separately, I imagine it would cost more than the monthly infinity price. If these are features that are of value to you, then Infinity probably is too, if not - then it's probably not the right solution!!

Well I have just recieved this as a reply:

    Thanks for getting in touch.

I'm sorry that the terms of the Infinity agreement were not explained to you at the time of purchase. !I do understand the frustration caused by this, however, I must refer you to the documentation provided to you at the time of purchase. !This will advise that there is not a cooling off period of the agreement. !As a result of this, you are unable to change the payment terms and I apologise for the inconvenience caused.

    Kind regards,

    Leigh

I'm no legal eagle but that reply accepts they didn't explain the terms properly. If there's some consumer law that states they must do so then you surely have enough to push for cancellation.

Infinity lets you choose any laptop, desktop, Apple computer or tablet supported by KNOWHOW™ services for a fixed monthly payment. Infinity Leasing is ideal if you like to update your technology regularly, as with Infinity you return the computer or tablet after 2 years. You can then upgrade to the latest technology, and when you sign up for your new Infinity, we’ll send you 25% of the value of the original computer or tablet.
I read it as you have to give it back after two years.

At that point, you can opt for another product, on a new Infinity deal if you wish. If you do decide another one is wanted, they will give you 25% of the value of the first one you took out, not the one you are wanting to replace it with..... it gets worse!!!

Totally correct. They have admitted to you that the full terms and conditions where not explained. Big mistake!

There may be no cooling off but if the terms and conditions when not explained or miss sold how can you make an informed choice about which package if any is best for you!

I think it will be massively cheaper, Infinity on an Ipad valued at £400 to £500 costs £36.67 or the total for 24 months is an eye watering £880.08.

You can buy a decent 2 year warranty from Apple for £69, for which you can either post it or take it into an Apple shop.

The cloud back up is not very expensive to buy.

You also get 25% off a new Ipad after 2 years, coincidently the £880 you pay for your Ipad for 2 years with Infinity is not far off what it would cost you to buy an Ipad out right every two years especially when you deduct the 25% discount which in effect you've paid for with the inflated Infinity costs.

You might as well get a new Ipad on an interest free credit card for £41.66 for 12 months getting the free apple warranty. Sell it for say £250 after twelve months and then buy the new version for I'm guessing £500. This way you pay considerably less than Infinity.

You get 25% off the purchase price of the ORIGINAL iPad, not the new one.
