Marta - he'd be more than happy with a big pizza and football on the tele which I already allow him :P
Also, I've not been to any classes. I may regret it but... I don't think I coulda managed them alongside work.
Congrats Kavics! Hope you're enjoying your little one and glad you had a positive labour xxx
Canucksfan - how unfortunate that you need to be monitored but very happy to hear that baby is doing well.
Tia - my Asda box was completely free and I picked it up a month or so ago. I'll have to dig out the box for you and see how long the voucher inside lasts. I believe you can get the bounty information in other languages.
Moog - I'll be more than happy if you don't have yours yet. I'm not ready for the teens! And noone else better go... imagine the freak out that Rups will have :P
I only managed 4 hours sleep. Was awake until 3 feeling very lightheaded in bed and OH is an idiot and decided to set his alarm for 7 and go to work by 8.
I've decided I can't cope with work any more. I'm not getting anywhere near enough sleep and I'm getting very stressed out. Going to go in early and talk it over with the boss. I'm sure she won't mind.0 -
Morning all.
Many congratulations Kavics on the birth of your daughter.
Hope everyone is feeling well this morning and hope your chat with your boss goes well Bamama.
Had my weekly blood pressure check yesterday which was fine and heard baby's heartbeat after a long search for it which was relieving!
Got my MATB1 form yesterday too so have been working out my maternity leave which is always nice.
Off to work now, hope everyone has a good day xxxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

My mw said today that baby is already quite low, she wrote "ceph long eng",
- long looks like it means she's lying vertically which sounds good.
We enjoy your long posts don't worry
I hate the Trafford Centre myself, I also can't believe so many shops where I can't find what I want. Did the whole centre one day to find a suit and couldn't.0 -
Congratulations Kavics! Thanks for updating us too.
You've moved me up to the next non-boldie now - eek!!
Glad to hear your birth went well. I'm scheduled for a home birth with pool and they will be bringing G&A along but we'll see how I go.0 -
Argh, I lost my post!!! Half way and the alarm in the phone goes off and when I am back at the browser screen all the text had gone!!!
I cannot be bothered to type it all again, breakfast is waiting, but basically:
Congrats kavics, did you have a birth pool?
littlemoog, according to my notes she's been like that for at least two weeks, but now she's lower. DH thinks she will be early, I think she will be late, now she'll be born on her EDD to make us both wrong! Lol
bamama, I cannot recommend enough to stay at home if you can afford it, I am glad I stopped so early, I wouldn't have been able to cope these last weeks, plus the "me-time" is very important in my opinion if it is your first.
On the packs, I do not know. My mw didn't have the bounty pack when I went.and put together whatever she had left around. I picked up the ones from Emma's diary (which you can collect.at Argos or Boots), but there wasn't an option for other language I think. Boots Baby Club is good, they give you a changing bag with the purchase of Pampers, plus quite a few discounts, extra points, etc. Never signed at Asda. Tesco sends me emails sometimes. Mumsnet sends good discount codes for some online shops sometimes too. Aptamil sent a cuddly polar bear, Cow and Gate a cuddly cow. Babies R us sent some offers last week after no contact for over two months. Mothercare gave me vouchers in store but never received anything else in the post, only newsletters occasionally. For me, the best club has been Boots, but I buy from them usually nevertheless.
I had more but I cannot remember what now!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Thanks savage!! Good link that one, shame that some drs don't know the meaning of neat handwriting, because I have stuff there that no midwife could translate!!! Lol They ended up giving up and asking me if I needed any follow up because they could not understand most of it!
I asked my mw about the birthing plan and she said I can just tell them when I go in what I want. I think I'll write something just in case!
You are so close now!how are you doing with the hypnobirth? I'm failing to listen the audio, and I have 2/3 of the book to read, but I'm positive that something is better than nothing! (I hope!)

Thank you everyone. I was labouring in water for hours but didn't get the birth in there as baby turned back to back while in labour and got stuck. I was in agony and doctors were called but all was well in the end. I had a light epidural at that point and pushed baby out 40 min after that. My midwives were brilliant, i can't praise them enough. I had a birth plan which said that I wanted to go with the flow but do whatever was best for the baby and I :-). No one can prepare you for the pain and how you will feel while in labour, the best is to be open minded. At one point I remember offering a huge amount of money to midwives if they could sort out an emergency cezarian within minutes, needless to say they just laughed at me...0

morning ladies. how are you?
A HUUGE Congrats to you Kavics! Hope you're enjoying your little one and glad you had a positive labour. i was thinking of a water birth but havent even planned what i will wear in it and stuff?
Sorry to hear about your experience Canucksfan - how unfortunate that you need to be monitored but so glad to know that the baby is doing well.
How are the rest of the ladies? Good luck to the boldies. I can see iam number 21 and that already is making me scared! eek!!
Bamama if you really cant cope with work then just take your maternity earlier. i had to do that as i really cant do this anymore and someone else said yesterday that time to myself is very important in case baby comes early. so def do it. my mat pay is crap but i am ok to just leave early for my own sanity and cant push myself like some. There is girl from the nct class who is working like mad at the mo and stressed. her baby is small as well and she has to have regular scans. maybe the stress is not doing her any good?
also there is this guy at work who's wife was expecting on the 5th of december and she went into labour today! people are having babies earlier! ahhhh
tired and at work again. glad i have today and tomorrow and that is it. we are going for my leaving lunch shortly. the day is relatively chilled but i am here for my cover to bug me last minute and she said she wants to chat from 3-4. sigh. lol. hope everyone else is ok. xxxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Well... I officially don't have to work any more! Boss was fine with it. She said she kinda thought I'd finish early and thinks the baby will make an appearance soon :P she carried my bits to the car for me. Was a bit disappointed as she had bought me a gift ready for when I leave. She'll drop it round my house at some point
(we're rather close... considering I used to date her eldest son and did live with them for a couple of months). Told me she'd miss me and to make sure I keep in touch.
Gonna call into my surgery this afternoon, it's only around the corner, to get my BP taken. Will ring my midwife to let her know that I have been lightheaded and what the doc says about my BP. She may ask to see me before my appointment next week. Clinic is on a Friday so may be tomorrow. Shall see what she says though.0 -
Thats good hon you spoke to your boss and all agreed. you need the rest if you feel you do.. I also feel light-headed and its apparently normal but def go to the gp as i did, which is why i got sent to the hosp for tests. good luck honey xxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
