The pizza and chips were delicious, plus the aero bar on top. Could easily eat more, I've really found my appetite has increased these past few days, or maybe my greed?
I didn't even think that I couldn't get in the space till I nearly sent a glass flying and quickly though 'whoops I'm pregnant'
I think the aches today are worth the effort, there nothing better than a freshly decorated room, I've even found space for the baby's steriliser in the kitchen.I :heart2: saving money0 -
A work colleague lent me the Gina Ford book, read a bit of it but it wasn't really for me. Haven't really read any books during pregnancy apart from a names book. I've decided we are going to wait and play things by ear. I am very keen on establishing a routine though, especially at night. I know people who still have their babies/kids still hyped up swinging from the chandeliers at 8.30-9pm then wonder why they don't want to sleep.I :heart2: saving money0

Evening all! Hope you're all doing ok. I'm ok - kinda tired and PGP is a b***h but apart from that grand!
I tried reading CLB and I took on board what she said. unfortuantely DS neglected to read it and didn't realise he was supposed to be sleeping through the night! Lol! It works for some people though and they swear by it. I followed part of it and played the rest by ear.
Marta, I bf'd DS and expressed once in the morning (from the side he wasn't feeding from) and once at bedtime. I fed him myself all other times. While I was expressing the bedtime one DH was giving baby the EBM in a bottle. It worked for us and I (controversially) was expressing from 3 weeks or maybe even before - can't remember. Plus using a dummy. We used Tommee Tippee CTN bottles. DS never got confused despite the difficulties we had at the beginning with feeding. We made sure for the first couple of feeds that I wasn't in the room so DS didn't get upset but we didn't need to worry as he was fine. What Gilly says is true - just as we're all different so are our babies. Some will take to both boob and bottle and others won't. I have no idea if baby 2 will be able to bf or not. Hopefully yes but will not get upset if we can't. The advantage there is that DH can do the odd nighttime feed! Lol!
Ikkle is right ladies - listen to the advice - take it on board - and then adapt it to your baby. No one will know your child like you and your partner. It doesn't matter if you want to breast feed or bottle feed, or if you want to do all the feeding or share it with someone. That is your right as mum. Your job is to make sure that your baby is happy and healthy and no one else has the right to tell you how to do that! That midwife was just miffed as you showed you had a mind of your own and had actually done some research. i don't think they are used to that.
Rups - Tesco online - that's all I'm saying! Has saved many a supermarket aisle row!0 -

The CLB sounds so...me. I like to be organised and CLB does that.

Nephthys Gina Ford suggests the same thing about not being around when your partner feeds the baby. Glad to hear that worked for you.:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -

Aida - I just stayed away the first few times. It even got to the stage where DS would happily take a bottle from me. He just wanted the milk - greedy little sod!0
