Rups I used to feel wet all the time, don't worry. When your waters go I'm sure you'll know. If you start leaking so much that you are filling up a big maternity pad then its time to worry about your waters. Mine went slowly this time and it was still noticeably more than normal discharge. I can't believe you are getting so close now, I still check this thread to see how you are doing as you don't come on the fb group too much.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800

Thanks Katy. as you can see i kind of freaked out lol. i feel so dumb at times, thatwont even know when waters break as we were told it is not always a gush lol. i guess if the panty liner is full etc i would. aghh why all these signs? ok also as i am asking, do you use your plug first and then the waters happen or could it happen in any order?
i tr and have a look on the fb group but that is so fast for me.. i might do when at home properly.:) how are you xxx time is flying for me now. i walk like a fat penguin now.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I'm doing good, Eliza has started to settle a bit lately which has been nice. And it is lovely having a little baby again
I'm not much use about the plug, I haven't noticed it going with any of mine!! Don't worry too much, if you are unsure when things start happening for you then come on fb and you'll get lots of instant opinions/advice.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Rups, I have that same feeling all the time, I stopped using pantyliners because they actually made me itch more, because they got wet so quickly that it was constant wetness against the skin and it was very uncomfortable. I now change underwear (cotton only) about two times during the day, sometimes once more before going to bed.
I do believe that if you break waters, you know it. It will be more than just a pantiliner, it will be a constant leaking at least if not a sudden gush, and it will smell very differently. And I bet you will be feeling some contractions by then. I do not really think you can miss it. Maybe sit on the toilet and see if you are actually leaking anything? If it is normal discharge you do not "drip". If it is urine, it will smell differently. Idk, that is what I think, I have not had the experience yet! LolQuit smoking *1st January 2010*

Re: waters, I asked a friend who has recently had her baby and she told me that when your waters go it smells completely different from anything else, she described it as being a bit like wee-smell but much stronger and "a bit musty"!0

thanks ladies. guess have all these questions in my head today about whether mucus plug goes first and then waters break and when waters break do you start contractions or not? so many things could happen right as we were told yest if your water breaks the hospital in croydon wont let you stay like that over 24 hours esp if no contractions!

I'm like you rups, I am constantly asking what to expect but everyone tells me something different, I think one of the most frustrating things about all this is that there is basically no definite answer to most of our questions, just "oh, it's different for every woman"! I've spoken to probably ten different people about the mucus plug and waters, and half of them have said "plug goes first and it's like a massive bogey in your knickers" but then the other half have said "no idea, didn't notice my plug go"!
I've finished work today, hooray, due date is in ten days now! Am still doing pretty well to be honest, but definitely feeling ready now, I would be quite happy to have this baby today except for the fact that we still can't come up with any names.
Off to an NCT sale tomorrow morning, hopefully will be able to buy lots of bedding nice and cheap.0 -
Finally home after my iron infusion. Been out since 11am. They decided to do the one hour ones (I didn't have a choice) but it took ages for the drip to be set up as a doctor needed to put the cannula in (the midwife took one look at my veins and didn't feel very confident.lol) but he was in theatre so it took a while.
Need to have more iron infusions on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. The M.E struggled to cope with today's one. I'm dreading having to go to the hospital so much. DH and I are so stressed with other things. So many bills at the moment and the car boot breaking. Then there's the fuel and parking for the hospital. Seems like we never get a break sometimes. I keep apologising to DH for being anaemic.2019 Wins
