Mrs B - I think I'm exactly at the same stage as you! Was cooking a big roast for guests yesterday and came down in a dress that I like. Asked DH what he thought and he said "makes your boobs look huge, you look fat and frumpy". Now, I never married him for his romantic tactical side but this was just taking the biscuit so cue an hour long crying session from me!! What I'm trying to say is that I get days like you too where you just feel generally grumpy. Hope you feel better today.

On a good note I had my friend over who had a mc a few weeks ago and I asked for advice on here on what to say. She was fab and we still got on really well. We managed to have a bit of a girly chat about her probs and I think (hope!) she had a nice weekend.

    Lovely and sunny here today!

morning ladies. how are you all?

hope chrerrydrop and babynumber4 are getting on ok?

marta thanks so much for the advise and other ladies too. i totally agree. dh is lovely in other things and that is why i married him. its his foul temper. i mean how petty is getting lost. he called me stupid and incompetent etc i did say stop shouting as the baby can feel it and he said so what? he doesnt think once that line is crossed. god i hate his raised voice. i have tried chatting to him about it, the rest is upto him as only he can help himself in terms of temper. he wasnt like that initially but i guess the more you get to know a person, they just let go and are themselves and to be honest the first time i saw his temper i was like what the hell.. lol. no one is perfect. i have so many bad points but i am def glad i dont have a bad temper.. its work in progress but we wlll get there for sure. you are right taht pride gets in his way too. even his mum yesterday said he was agressive and said she felt sorry for me. little did she know of the argument before that!! thanks so much...xxx

had an ok night. was ready to sleep but when went to bed, i was awake and my belly was uncomfy in the side position. :( am working from home but feel tired and still have that headache. yuck. :( come on first of nov so can start counting to maternity leave lol. my baby stuff is getting dleivered to work today grrr.. and my tomtom marta lol

zcrat glad you had a good time with your friend. xxx

Haha - had to log on just to agree with zcrat! This board will be well quiet without Rups!

Stop freaking out Rups - you'll be grand. One born only gives a snapshot of a long (for most people) process and they'll only ever pick the ones that will get the most impact. They don't show the other large percentage of everyday births! That won't get them high ratings. Besides every woman is different in her reactions to labour and birth and you have no idea ho you will cope til you get there. So stop worrying about it - baby has to come out regardless of how much you stress about it before hand! You are allowed to worry when the labour pains start - ok?? Now as for your DH - no idea but you are right - come and vent in here and it means you can be calm and rational talking to him.

zcrat - some men just don't think before they speak. My DH calls it constructive criticism. When pregnant I call it downright mean! I hope he realised how much he had upset you!

no no i wont freak out yet promise. :) thanks nephthys. :)

well that gym ball was too small even after fillng it up. i felt it was so low for me to sit on. looked slightly bigger than a normal sized beach ball. surely thats not right?

Tell those men "you did this to me so you better try to make me feel good about how I look!" your body would not have changed shape if not for their part in it make them feel responsible for it!!! Lol

Rups, mine also looked smaller than I though. Smaller than in the pic fir sure, but DH said they have put a picture of a skinny Barbie and that is why the ball looks big in the pic. It can also be that the model in the picture is way over 5.8 ft height and she has the 75cm model. In one website they said to do the following: measure 55cm or 65cm, depending of your ball, from the floor up by the wall, use a pencil and do a small mark, put your ball beside it and check it goes up to that point, if not, you might need to put a bit more of air, do not inflate too much, you should be able to poke your finger easily about 2" down or so ( or 2cm?). All the websites I read said that below 5 feet 3 was 55cm, check your ball is properly inflated. I also expected it bigger.

thanks marta. i couldnt put more air in it. i tried it was really low. i was struggling to sit on it and my knees were spread out. it was def wrong. i think the ones from ebay are dodgy. grrr. just my luck. i wrote to the buyer so hopefully can get a refund or next size up. it def wasnt right as i had to squat so low to sit on it and i wasnt comfy. :(
