No problem about the long posts Jen. We all do them
I'm worrying about bringing baby home too. Will be all new. I'm sure we'll all manage!
I don't have a dog but one thing I've learnt is... don't put the baby lower than the dog. That'll give the dog dominance over baby. When bubba is bigger and on the floor on a mat... just make sure the dog doesn't stand over bubba or anything.
Other than that, I suppose you'll just have to see how the dog reacts. Make sure noone pets the dog if it's barking or distressed... it'll only encourage the behaviour.
No idea about seats Rups. Maybe someone with experience can enlighten us both XD0 -
Moog!!!! Damn you... I did it already
and I put in lil notes and stuffs
And, and, and... I moved Babynumber4 cause she said she's going in early *nods*0 -
Hey ladies,
I'm having a day like you had yesterday mrs B. I feel down.. No idea why, I don't want to go to work later (working 1800-0300) tonight, I'm hungry with no yummy food in the house and just can't be bothered to do anything!!
I work shifts and have worked out I only have 26 shifts left until I finish work (my last shift is the 9th dec). I'm not due til 22nd jan but taking annual leave until my maternity starts on my due date. I'm looking forward to having Christmas off work gor once- have worked the last 7 Christmases!!
Jen my maternity pay us not as good as yours but it's better than some... I get 6 weeks at 90% pay, 12 weeks half pay + SMP, 21 weeks at SMP and the last 13 weeks are unpaid. I'm going to take the whole year... Me and DH decided we would rather try and go without than me go back to work early- I'll never get that time back!
As for discharge.. I'm the same, hate the wet pants feeling but figured its just part of being pregnant!
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good day? Not much food talk today... What has everyone eaten so far? I had bacon supernoodles for lunch... All we've got in the cupboard!!
Me (27+6) x x0 -
Thanks girls!
Its weird as i read somewhere else that we should introduce bubba to the dog as soon as we come in by putting the bubba on the floor and letting Molly (our pooch) have a sniff, obviously supervised and sensibly bla bla bla! We are bringing baby into the dogs home apparently...so its good to introduce them that way. Who knows.
We do have the soppiest dog in the world tho so im hoping that will help, shes been around toddlers and bubs from about 1-2 years of ages and has always been good. Just another worry at the back of my mind. Whatever happens we will do our best to itegrate our little family. I HATE it when people just disregard their dogs/pets for a baby.
One thing i am looking forward to is them both growing up together, im sure it will work out as hubby says we will make it work!
Aw rups thats rubbish! I have literally been here 5 years the 2nd Jan and due date is 13th Jan, our rules state i have to be here 5 years on my due date week so i was really lucky! (wasnt timed or anything!)
I am enjoying the movements definatly, i had a bit of a scare last week and ended up in the hospital just checking bubba was ok but he/she was just being lazy! Ever since its been partying like mad!
Im very very very happy just worried, iv never been a natural with babies unlike hubby grrr! But then he was 15 when hes twin sisters were born so hes had much more practice...
Is it bad that my first nappy change will be my own first babies!!!???Married Hubby 21/03/12...First Bubba due 13/01/130 -

Curses, spent so long sorting out the formatting on the list Bamama got there before me! Have deleted the extra copy
Welcome SpiderWestCider
Rups you don't need an isofix base, but I do think it's more convenient as you don't have to faff about with the belt every time. It depends how often you'll get it in and out of the car though?
I had a whole day of housework planned, but then slept in til 11amI've had a tidy round and put a casserole in the slow cooker to freeze some portions for after the baby comes. still got to deep clean the kitchen, our cooker hood is grim and the filters need a scrub
I think baby might have engaged in the last 2 days, bump is a few inches lower, lots of aches and pains in my pelvis and I'm absolutely starving all the time, I'm like a bottomless pit! Assume my stomach suddenly has room to expand or something!:rotfl:Midwife tomorrow, so will find out for sure then

*shrugs* Tis what I remember reading is all. Not gonna say one way is right and one way is wrongbest advice anyone can give it watch your dogs actions carefully, which is common sense anyway.
And my first nappy change will be with my baby too XD I'm thinking it's gonna be totally embarressing doing it with the MW watching and stuff. OH hasn't done it either so... at least you have someone with experience! Count yourself lucky lol.0 -
