Teehee sorry Moog XD Sounds like your gonna go early?

I think I'm the youngest here Rups so... I feel like I'm allowed to have a strop on ^^

not sure, I think it's normal for first babies to engage a few weeks before due date. 38 weeks tomorrow and starting to feel a bit impatient, although still not too uncomfy. I'd be happy for Beanie to arrive anytime after Thursday, have lots of housework to get done before then :rotfl: with the number of visitors we're expecting after the birth (3 sets of parents, DH's grandma, 8 sets of siblings & partners & kids plus friends & colleagues etc!) I want everything spotless beforehand so I don't have to dash around tidying up afterwards! Sadly I have no nesting instinct as far as I can tell, so I'm having to force myself to do the cleaning as per usual! :rotfl:

I wonder how Cake is getting on?

I cannot stop eating today. I just ate 5 fun size Mars Bars with a cup of tea for an afternoon snack.

I'm ready to be finished work and this baby be here, but I've about 5 weeks to go until my c-section. I get the exact date next Thursday.

Still no names picked yet. I think we might have a boys name, as it's the only one both of us has liked at all. I like quite a few girls names, but DH isn't fussed on them.

My DD will be 2 next month and it's crazy how grown up she seems all of a sudden. I think she'll be OK about the new baby, as she seems to love babies. I have a Baby Born doll to give her when the baby arrives.

I've had a very unproductive day in work. I'm working on a detailed, fiddly job that requires a bit of focus that I'm lacking today. Maybe tomorrow I'll be a better employee!

I have a maximum of 22 days left to work!

Moog... I think your family sounds as big as mine except we've got... one lot of grandparents, one Auntie and Uncle who are practically grandparents (both 70... well Auntie is the day after my due date :)), 3 and a half sets of parents (OH's mother doesn't have her own OH), 3 siblings, 3 step siblings, 7 nieces/nephews, numerous Aunties and Uncles my side... and their children, and my cousins and their children. And work people/well wishers/pains in the bums! Lol.

OMG CL, coulda shared the Mars bars :( We had trouble with names but finally found one of each that we liked... so that's what we've gone for. OH is still insisting on naming it FRANK though >< he's been referring to my bump as Frank for months already. But I'm not having it!

We Googled names from classic literature (as that's where DD's name is from) and laughed so much at the suggestions for unique names like Esmerelda and Ebineezer. Def too unique for me!

Our bump is called "The Hobo". Like the Littlest Hobo LOL.
  • Hi everyone, hope all is ok. Just a quick update from me.... Went into hospital saturday morning wth regular contractions, they put me on monitor and checked my cervix. 1cm dilated. They had got my latest bile level results which were 31 (higher than before I started th treatment for it). Said if things didn't progress they may induce me that day.

A few hours later the contractions had started to slow down, transferred to ward for a few hours and they stopped altogether! So was eventually sent home and told to go back for my planned induction tomorrow.

So I've got to ring at 7am and see if a beds available and what time to go in. I'm so nervous!!!!!

As for introducing babies to dogs, I'm a bit worried about that too. My dogs been my baby for 11years now so not sure how she'll take such a change. She also hates noise which could be a problem with 2 screaming babies. I read somewhere about taking blankets/towels to get the babies smell on them and DH will bring them home to put on dogs bed before we bring babies home. Hope that will help a bit

  • Good luck tomorrow cake, hope it goes smoothly.

I had a sweep today which was quite uncomfortable. Midwife says I'm 2cm dilated and she managed to touch the baby's head and have a good old rummage. She couldn't feel the plug and thinks it may have already gone, don't know when cos I've been on toilet paper watch for weeks. I have had extra discharge recently but nothing like what I was expecting the plug to look like. I don't feel any different really but hopefully that'll change over the next couple of days, if not I've another sweep booked for Saturday and an induction booked for 6th November.

    hello all. :)

Good luck cake and Scottish chick! hope you meet your little ones soon. i worry about missing stuff too like the plug or waters. oh well. lol hope it happens very soon for you all.

nesting? whats that? i have just been mega tired, that is all, not had the desire to clean at all. only desire has been to wash baby's clothes and sort those out. that is it. i went into town today after docs appointment. was getting too dizzy so wanted to get i checked. all iron and blood sugar were ok so he said to try and take it easy and could be related to me being so tired as lack of sleep. said take a few days off to rest and i said i am saving hols and so he said take a few sickies. bless him. might do actually. :)

then went to town and was out for around 2 hours and got so so tired. the shops were so hot that i wanted to get out asap. went into h&m and bought a decent looking mat coat and 2 tops and then went and got my eyebrws done and face waxed and wanted to come home.. the woman at the beauty salon (well one of many) just came up to me as i was holding my eyes and lying slant on that stupid chair and started stroking my belly and i had to wave my arms about and say no. i dont like that at all. then one of them who was doing my eyes said it would be lovely if you had a boy - typical indian mentality and i said well it doesnt matter to me as long as i have a healthy baby. all that bollx. sorry. that annoys me...

i came home and fried my mums samosas and i didnt even eat my dinner of rice with veggies. might have some now.. hope u guys are ok just been told off as i type for eating bad food. nasty dh. :( he got me flowers to say sorry for our argument and now he is back to tellin gme off and saying how i will find it hard to lose the weight. grrr men!!!
my tummys been tightening a bit now.. eek..
