Yup - takes me a little while to get out of bed and stand up straight never mind walk. It hurts throughout the day but the worst times are if I have been too still for too long so have to leave my desk and go for a walk every now and again (usually to the bathroom but that's a whole other complaint! Lol!). Nightime and getting out of bed are definitely the worst. i am however, doing better than with DS. With him I was on crutches by 27 weeks and I just passed that at the weekend and haven't given in to using them yet! :D

However much it hurts I just keep telling myself that it's temporary and that I get to have a baby at the end of it. Plenty of women with PGP are in wheelchairs and everything so I'm doing ok at this stage! I also know too many people would love to be in my position even with the pain! And I am grateful everyday for this opportunity!

Sorry to hear you're suffering :( 2 of my sister's have had terrible spd, it's so debilitating :( one of them is pg again atm, and she's already started suffering really badly at only 14 weeks. I feel so lucky not to have had it as well, your attitude is great though :)

LittleMoog - it was my first pregnancy symptom this time round and the reason i did a test! Had symptoms at 4 weeks but it seems to be a slower decline this time - or maybe i just know how to deal with it better this time. i'm not sure.

Aida - re vitamin K. It's to do with blood clotting and google will scare you if you read the worst case scenarios. Vitamin K helps in clotting and babies are born with less of it and at more risk if they have a bleed. It is given shortly after birth. You can opt to have an oral dose administered but you have to remember to get the second oral dose at I think 4 weeks old. Injection is only once. We opted for DS to have it - don't think he even noticed the needle to be honest. He certainly didn't cry. (In fact I have no memeory of him crying at all in the delivery room now I come to think of it. might have been the pethidine but no one was worried so I wasn't either. Must ask DH sometime if he did!) In short it's a personal choice thing for you and your OH to decide if you want your baby to have it.
  • Sorry you're suffering neph, I suffered first time round hence one of the reasons I'm finishing work at 29 weeks this time so I can hopefully get more rest. Good positive attitude though :j

littlemoog my nesting is the same as yours, I have lots of lists :rotfl:

aida glad you're feeling better today

    Morning everyone

    Cake Good luck today!!!

    Any news about CherryDrop?

Boldies are you still around waiting for your little ones to make their presence?

Re Pelvic and back pain Thank you for all your comments and tips about this. I noticed yesterday that if I don't walk too much I feel better. Also I've managed to put my feet up last evening and that helped as well. Today I feel perfect again :D.

I'm still here, just had a bloody show though so hopefully moving in the right direction. Izzydogsams waters broke last night but contractions havent started yet (well they hadn't when she posted on FB) so hopefully she'll be having mummy cuddles soon.

    Good luck Cake.

I'm six months today! Feels like there's AGES to go though - I'm going to be the size of a house by the end.

Need to try and have a chat with my parents about when I can cut down my hours at work. Thing is they have this presbyterian work ethic thing going on - they don't understand the concept of rest/holidays etc. You only don't work if you're in hospital in our family! Even then, certain family members have been known to discharge themselves and go back to work!

I was sure DD didn't cry in the delivery room too but we watched the video of just after her birth before the cord was cut and she was screaming, think I was in too much of a daze to notice.

Hi morocha, long time no see! Glad the move went well. Are you sure it's 7 months? I'm 26+7 but as I'm due on 30th jan I've still got
All of nov, dec and January to go! I can never work out how the weeks equate into months tho!
