It's an excuse marta - but a good one! In fact i may use it myself when I've to get my jab! I'm the same by the way and it is just everything getting squished upwards. Really uncomfortable!

Rups - i always blame the baby! S/he can't answer back! It's perfect. If I can't blame baby brain then I blame baby hormones. No can't do chewing gum - makes me feel much worse. I just try and ignore it and eat more! Lol!

We're automatically listed under a consultant for care in the hospital. I think they are only called upon if decision have to be made re c-section etc otherwise you just see the midwives who can send you over to see one of the doctor's minions if necessary.

Don't go overboard on the eating afterwards Rups - i did and regretted it a couple of months later as i got even heavier and anything i lost when DS was born was put back on again. I still cry looking at those photos! But they didn't half kick me into losing the weight (all 3 and a half stone of it!)

I've still got to figure out how I'm gonna squash all the extra calories in to keep my weight while I BF. Not sure how much support I'm gonna have through it either. I don't know anyone who did it... OH will probably be very put off by the milky boobness :(

Sorry if it's a bit personal for you but... I reminded him that we hadn't had any "alone time" in ages. He kindly informed that it's because the belly is freaking him out a bit, he's worried the baby knows what's going on. Tried to reassure him by letting him know that the baby doesn't actually move during any activities... it actually seems to calm it. Oh and he freaked out the first time he groped a boob and nipple leakage occured.

It's very annoying cause when I didn't have the belly it didn't bother him, but I felt sick and tired. Now that I'm comfortable and feel kinda sexy... he doesn't wanna touch me with a barge pole :(

That can happen with some guys Bamama - not sure what to suggest. DH's only worry is squashing my stomach! And he is allowed nowhere near anywhere overly sensitive! Baby has no idea what you're doing - I do think they can feel the sensations if you get *ahem* over excited but it doesn't harm them - they're well cushioned!

Re bfing - there are support groups for it and don't be afraid to ask for help afterwards if it's what you really want to do. I nearly gave up at 3 days in as DS just would not feed (he couldn't latch easily). Thanks to my lovely sister-in-law and a no nonsense midwife - loved her! - I kept going. i won't lie to you, some women find it difficult but many others don't. you won't know which you are til you get there but it can be really difficult. You have to make the right decision for you and your baby. If that is breast then great, if it is bottle then also great. it doesn't matter at the end of the day so long as baby gets what the need and you are both happy. I only stopped feeding DS a couple of weeks ago - he's 2 now. If i can feed this one then brilliant, if not then I may be a bit upset but I'll not let myself get overly distressed after all it means DH can help with the feeding!

Well I told him in no uncertain terms that he was just being stupid! And basically either he shapes up or there'll be a buzzing keeping him awake at night :P

I'm very determined to BF... I will ask about support groups and things tomorrow. Think the only thing that will stop my from persisting is if the MW/GP tells me that baby will better off if I switched to bottle feeding. But that still doesn't mean formula... expressing ftw XD

bamama are you me? i feel the same.. i keep wanting some intimate time with dh but i think he is scared as he did say the belly is there and i dont want to hurt it.. i feel the exact same as you. I am bigger for sure (nephthys i will def remember that as i want to have a nice figure afterwards for me to feel sexy), but when i ask him and nothing happens, i feel so fat and ugly. :( i feel he doesnt want me anymore. he used to touch me in his sleep now and again, but now that has stopped. he also keeps so busy (seeing friends etc as he feels the world is ending, lol) so he is always tired. i am tired and i can still make 5 mins for it..sigh.. i end up reading those stupid 50 shades books and feeling worse and sometimes resort to doing something myself. sorry tmi.

Must just be one of those things. He's been a lot... quieter? since we moved in together anyway. But he used to find it hard to keep his hands off me. Or grabbing me for a passionate kiss for no reason! Now it's just sorta... well it doesn't happen.

Nothing wrong with a bit of self help ;)

I'd offer you a hand but I fear that would be highly inappropriate :P
