I'm just happy i'm being looked after Bamama! Almost makes me want to be a midwife, then you see a screaming lady with her leggings round her ankles dragging the poor sister along and you quickly change your mind.0

why you picking on me sexymouse?:( first fluff and now you?
i am sad now.. lol.
i was hunting for food actually and dont have any... so in the end had another nutrigrain bar. lol. there told you!
Aww! Big hugs Rups - there has been an awful lot of people talking about food today on here, and I must admit, they've talked about it more than you have. It's making me hungry, and I can't get away with having a bump any more. lol
Off to the doctor now, so better go. Still thinking of you all ladies. xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Some of the websites with which I registered are telling me I am 33 weeks before I even get there, they are just confusing me! Last Saturday Emmas Diary said I was 33, the same day Aptaclub said I was 32, Huggies said 33 yesterday and this morning Boots told me I was 32, whilst Pampers sent me an email about week 33. I had to write down on the wall calendar how many weeks I am each Saturday, so I do not get the count wrong again!
The health visitor was here, just sat down on the sofa, filled a questionnaire and chat about general pregnancy stuff. She was a very nice lady, I felt very comfortable.
I am extremely tired today, I am not managing to stay awake at all, but I have to, I need to write a 20min presentation for Saturday, but I will be busy busy busy tomorrow until 6pm, so I do not have much time, my brain is not working and I am finding every single excuse not to do anything. A part of me is not bothered at all, and the other part is panicking. I dyed my hair black this morning, so from now on the roots won't be obvious (I was with a caramel colour). Then I went to the hairdresser (first time this year) to do a more manageable haircut. I expect not to have to do anything now for many months to come, which was the original intention of both things... but I did not need to do it today... Argh... at least I will look presentable for the presentation on Saturday! There will be many people I do not know much more important than me, I am just in a mental block I think.
I received my Boots and Amazon orders now, so I have the bath, sponge, thermometers, pads, etc. All I need now is the bedding or the sleeping bag, and I think I am done. Oh, and the arnica bath thing.
I keep forgetting things too often, even though I have a diary, plus a calendar on the phone. I managed to forget about my antenatal appointment at the hospital, which was last week. I had to rescheduled but now I won't know my blood test results for another two weeks! I guess everything is ok, otherwise they would have contacted me, as they did with the urine test. I am having pains in the pelvic / coxics [sp?], although not all the time, but I find it difficult to walk for over a minute. So I a, officially a couch potato now. I am so tired that I could sleep the whole week
Good luck Cake, I hope you feel better soon! And of course the cats are fine where they are! I never heard of a cat hurting a baby, though. TV says sometimes about certain kind of dogs, but never heard of a cat. They are very independent, they do not get as jealous as other kind of pets. They usually do their thing, as long as you give them food and comfy places, they do not really moan much, lol. I was surrounded by pets when I was a kid, and I am fine. Idk, pets are usually part of one's family, I would have found it very very hard to get rid of any if I had one at the moment.
Argh... I think I am going to have a 20min nap before DH arrives, I really cannot keep my eyes open! I hope this does not mean I will have to work during the night, because I need to be at this other seminar at 8:30am tomorrow!I might take my laptop tomorrow and work whilst other people talk, lol

Ohhhh and my tip of the day is when you go into hospital to have your baby they put pads on your bed which are large rectangle shapes to collect your waters/blood etc and protect their beds. If you can then swipe a couple to bring home they are great for putting on changing mat to stop it being cold on baby and also because babies meconium poo's are bloomin horrible they are really good for catching mess and saving your surfaces. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

mrsB I have my GTT on Monday, you also have to have one if first baby is more than 4.5kg (around 10lb) as that makes it more likely. Not happy, can't stand lucozade
marta I've got pelvic pain too and struggle to walk - hate it when people just assume you're being lazy. And as for forgetting things, I have lists and more lists and then forget I have a list! :rotfl:
sexymouse are you breast feeding ? If so you can get away with carrying on eating for two :rotfl:0 -
I know, moneypenny, time goes just too quickly now. One of those pregnancy apps I have on the phone said to me recently: "only 51 days to go" and I then realized it is much closer than I thought!! I am still getting used to being pregnant, and now I have to start thinking about when I am not pregnant anymore! Lol
babymonster, I have a "digital sticky post-it" on the laptop, a diary, alarms on the phone, a wall calendar where I write stuff, a white board in the kitchen... yet I manage to still forget things because I forget to write them down. Or just very basic stuff, the most common one is making a hot drink and leaving it by the kettle (ready) until it gets cold, which is when I think "wait a minute, where's my drink?" and when I give up looking around and go to make one, there I find it! I've done this sometimes twice in a row!!! Or forgetting to get things out of the freezer for tea time, I keep having to put stuff in water to try to defrost it quicker. Today was one of those days, I only remembered about two hours ago. I took salmon out but my lovely DH has suggested he would get a KFC on the way home to save me cooking and I just said yes. It has been ages since last time I had something as unhealthy as that, and I really fancy it!!! It is all your fault, for talking about food the whole day, lol. I am not bad with food generally, all my dinners are usually made from scratch and very balanced, but my lunches are just awful because I am on my own and I just grab whatever plus crisps. I had given up chocolate for the whole of the pregnancy until last weekend, when I suddenly started to feel like I wanted "a little piece", and it is never a little piece!! I have been having chocolate and crisps since! I blame the baby, she has a sweet tooth.Oh well, only 7 weeks+ to go, unless I start binging now, my weight has gone up steadily and as expected. All the reserves have gone to my hips though, I am looking forward to shed all this retained liquid, I look like a pear with a bump now. My thighs are huge! I have lost all proportion, lol.

I've heard many tales of women who have gone on to become midwives after birth... Not my cuppa tea though. I'm like you CherryDrop, the other people screaming and in pain would put me off lol.
Thanks for that tip ikkle. Sure I'll be able to scrounge some stuff.
I'm with you on the time flying moneypenny. And definitely forgetful too marta. I've forgotten whole conversations and end up asking the same question again and people have to repeat themselves.
babymonster - I think I'm gonna have to double what I'm eating now to keep healthy while breastfeeding. Feels like I'm hardly putting weight on and I so desperately want to get some curves!0 -
I'll be 31 weeks Saturday and so far I've put on a stone... Not impressed lol.0

Don't worry about weight gain, its not worth it. I gained 8lb in total - bubs weighed 9. I feel fatter now than I did a few days ago when I was pregnant. Plenty of time to lose weight after bubs is here xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
