Free jam doughnut from the boss. Woop!

Want some of my 32% butter, 200kcal a piece shortbread Neph? Rep in work brought them yesterday :) Or I have... bourbons? And your probs right about the mc stuff... don't know if me and OH woulda survived it though. It's been holding us together through all this living together business.

My niece was feeling Squirmy being all lumpy under my ribs... and she turned as was saying "Nan, I can feel the baby poking under Auntie's ribs. It's already being naughty and it's not even born yet!"
  • I know Nepthys, scary isn't it!

The thing I remember from the Pregnancy Thread last time is that we were always talking about food. Back then it was Greggs, but I don't have one anywhere near now so will just ave to daydream about their doughnuts instead.

Except of course now I want pizza thanks to Sa-ra-ra-ra.

Savage - that's actually pretty interesting about the allergy. Do you mean that you show no symptoms at the time, spend a period with no contact and then be re-introduced to cats again. Then an allergy could show up? I think that might be why DH's allergy wasn't picked up until a couple of years ago (bad allergic as in shouldn't ever be near cats) but he had daily contact as a child.
If the allergen is always there, there's no way of knowing that you are allergic as you'll just always be a bit snuffly / wheezy. Also, your body gets 'used' to it in a way, I was always almost "OK" with my own cats (unless they'd just licked themselves or I rubbed my eyes after picking them up!) but other cats would set me off. (I say OK as I was much more severely asthmatic as a child). Since I've left home, I've had no cats so when I go back now I'm off almost immediately. (and, I might add, my asthma is practically gone now unless I am around an allergen which sets me off and even then I've not had an attack in years - I just make sure to have my blue inhaler if I know I'm going to someone's houses where they have cats).

Do you have an Iceland GISI? They do frozen Greggs food you can cook at home :)

Sorry to hear it's been such a long road for you Sa-ra-ra-ra. The more I hear the more lucky I seem to be.
  • bamama share nicely! I want a nice rep like yours.

Bamama - don't tell me things like!!! We don't have Greggs over here thankfully as I was never out of it when i lived in Glasgow! I'll bet iceland over here doesn't sell any but I could go and have a look! Oh and yes I would love some of your shortbread - drool!

GISI - I had forgotten that! you're right - food was a big topic of conversation. I guess nothing has really changed then! lol!

Rups - if it makes you feel any better i am currently scoffing a Boost bar!

Savage - thank you for that. DH was borderline for asthma but it didn't develop. unfortunately it meant we had to re-home our cat a little while ago. However, on the plus side he is now with a lovely family being thoroughly spoiled (we did spoil him too but it was impacting on DH's health) so we are happy with our decision and he did stay with us until we got him a good home to go to.

Lol he only brings them cause I got the hump when he kept bringing stuff I didn't like!

*hands over packet* I believe they are from Lidl. "Sondey - Shortbread rings - 32% Butter" must resist urge to look at the fat content!
