Am I just being hormonal & they're being completely reasonable?!? (Sorry for the rant)
Only comment I have is that I am asthmatic and (it turns out) horribly allergic to cats, which wouldn't have been picked up when I was little as you only notice if you are away from the allergy and then come back to it. If you want to be on the safe side, and baby seems to wheeze/get the snuffles often; make sure baby's bedding etc are cat hair free and vacuum often.0 -
ah so nice.
so many people say if you are on the pill and come off, it takes longer to conceive but it has happened otherwise for so many people i know.
its lovely though when you reach that stage and think 'yep i am ready for a little one'. Thanks bamama, the mc was meant to happen (as people kept telling me that too. grr). it took a while to get over but now with this little one moving inside me, i feel that it was this one's turn to come first.

Rups - Have to agree with GISI. You need to figure out what is "normal" for you in this pregnancy and it seems to be the side pain. i'm not saying to ignore but just to be aware of the level of pain you can accept and to contact the hospital if it gets any worse. Normal for me involves a lot of pain unfortunately so i'll only really panic if i can't feel junior having a wriggle during the day. I think I am willing to accept a lot of discomfort/pain as I know that what i get a the end is well worth it! However, that all said, if it is worrying you more than usual and the paracetamol isn't helping then contact rhem again!
GISI - am also in awe of those who sail through! How's your wee man now? I think he and mine are roughly the same age as I remember you from the boards the last time!
MrsB - never give up your pets unless it is your last resort! Many people have babies and cats in the house and there are plenty of precautions you can take. Other people always have their own opinions on you and your children/domestic situation. You don't tell others how to run their lives and they shouldn't do it to you either. The hormone aspect may make you feel it a bit more but I don't think you are over-reacting! Your cats a re part of your family too!
We were trying too. Have been since our journey began so all our children have been planned. Sadly two of ours are now guardian angels to the two we will have here but that is how life is and to wish for things to be different would be to have different children as opposed to DS and junior and i find that hard to picture now. I just happen to believe that all things happen for a reason even if we don't know it at the time or understand it.
So enough of the philosophising - is it lunchtime yet???0 -
hey mrsb so sorry but i kind of missed your post as my page refreshed. hugs for you.. dont blame you for being upset at all. funny how parents feel they can tell you what to do. if you feel safe with your cats then dont get rid of them. cats arent all that bad at all. i know people who have cats and get their OH's to change the litter trays. its not dangerous at all. i find cats so clean. would love one.
and a dog too. hehe
ikkle thanks for your birth story. wow woman, you are super woman. hope you are recovering well and enjoying cuddles. xxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Savage - that's actually pretty interesting about the allergy. Do you mean that you show no symptoms at the time, spend a period with no contact and then be re-introduced to cats again. Then an allergy could show up? I think that might be why DH's allergy wasn't picked up until a couple of years ago (bad allergic as in shouldn't ever be near cats) but he had daily contact as a child.0
