sexymouse, ((((hugs)))) sounds like a rough few days you have had, hope it gets easier x x x

colli, another boy ! there seems to be loads at the moment, congratulations :j

On the subject of NCT courses, we only attended the NHS freebie ones (which was some time ago now) and it was boring, didnt find much of the info useful as most of it I had already read in magazines ! Im not sure how I would have felt keeping in contact with the other couples, it can be tough in the first few months and i personally wouldnt like to feel like i had to keep up with the rest of the group.

anyway, wanted to pop on and ask you all if any of you have a special coming home outfit for baby ? Its about the only thing I cant find and im getting a bit hung up on it :o anyone want to share theirs for inspiration :D

Mishka, I was thinking about a coming home outfit just the other day and I think we're not going to get anything special as there won't be any family here waiting to see baby as we've said we'd like a few days just the three of us so it seems kind of pointless IYSWIM.

We've just got home from nhs antenatal class, seems me and OH were the only couple there who liked each other lol, everyone seemed a bit distant from their partners and not touchy feely or anything. We already knew a lot of the stuff discussed from books we have read etc but there were a few interesting questions, my OH asked a few good ones too which I was a bit shocked about. Did make me laugh when the midwife mentioned reusables and everyone else tutted in disgust and then a lady asked who made them pampers or huggies and i ended up trying to explain birth to potty packs and liners and things lol x

Our coming home outfit is a yellow and white set from Matalan. It's a stripey sleepsuit and a little vest that says Just Hatched. Sooooo cute. Then baby has a Hungry Caterpillar jacket if it's chilly and some cute yellow and white fluffy socks.

Our coming home outfit if it fits is a little corduroy trousers and jacket set which I bought for the baby I lost in 2005.

Well super fun day for us here -
GTT test at hospital this morning. The hardest part was drinking a whole bottle of Lucozade infront of the blood nurse lady because it was really like 'drink this now'! Although she was lovely and I am only minimally bruised!

Also, today is OHs birthday, I felt so guilty that he spent 2 hrs waiting around hosp with me! We have been out for a meal tho AND my body even decided to be flexible enough for me to shave my legs in the shower (not bad for 30 weeks!) :rotfl:

We thought the same thing for our DS1 and got caught out by the photographer who comes round to the ward to take their "very first picture" and had baby in a vest that didnt quite fit as he had pooped all over the others we had taken :o

Dont know if its done in every hospital, ours came round with the bounty packs I think and the photo packs were seriously over priced for the bigger packs, but we've done it for both boys now so need to do it for this one !

    Good evening all!

No baby yet :( I'm getting tired of everyone asking if he's here yet. It's not like I would keep it secret, would I?

re antenatal classes - we only went to the NHS ones - 4 x 2hrs sessions. Very fact based but I found them good, especially that there were only 3 couples! Unfortunately my hospital doesn't do labour ward tours - they say ladies in labour need peace and quiet and I understand that. I was told about the classes on my first MW appointment - there was a pile of leaflets at the back of my blue folder which my MW pointed out to me.

re hospital bags - my bag is a cabin size suitcase and am also taking a rucksack for the baby. My bag is a bit full so will probably take my handbag as well and put my kindle and snacks in it. DH will have his own bag with entertainment and clothes. Mine and baby's bag have been packed for ages but DH says he will only take a couple of minutes to pack so hasn't done his

I noticed quite a few of you had GTT tests - it is a standard procedure as I wasn't offered one?

Time for bed. I hope tonight will be THE NIGHT. Nice dreams everyone!

Sillymoo I think it depends on family history, bmi, if your measuring big for dates etc as to whether you have a GTT x
