MSE Pregnancy Club 25

Just popping on quickly to say Eliza Grace was born on Friday 28th at 8.49pm. She was a tiny 5lb 6.5oz. Definitely not the labour I was expecting, but all went well. We got home from hospital Saturday afternoon but I haven't turned the laptop on until now. I'll post the birth story later.

Congrats to anyone else who has had their babies since I last logged on.

back from seeing the consultant, baby is transverse and back to back, i am in total agony and he has decided to bring the section forward to 38+1 so i'm having bubs on the 17th of this month instead of the 24th (due date 30th).
he said he could tell i was in obvious pain and the stress and tiredness isnt doing me or bubs any good, he didnt want to try turning baby and 38 weeks is classed as full term so there shouldnt be any major problems, fingers crossed, so thats me sorted........October 17th and i'll be a mama to four (god help me )

thats 2 of you who have announced babies today (there is another on the fbook group page) both queue jumping by having early babies...although now im number 25 in theory....

Neither of these studies has found a direct link between swaddling and increased/decreased risk of cot death.

Well, I already know that you shouldn't put babies on their tums, plus I know that you shouldn't allow them to get too hot at night.

These studies are important and the conclusions might well be of interest. I just wish lazy journalists wouldn't run with medical data they know little about and create misleading headlines. Remember what the DM did about MMR

thanks nephtys. am happy but now D H seems to have put some of our stuff in there as originally our room was getting too cluttered. sigh. so at lunch i told him that the baby room is for the baby and not our junk!

i so cant be bothered to work today. got a headache.:(

My personal favourite was a while back regarding some study or other. The Daily Mail ran with 'XXX increases YYYY!!!' on the front page, where the Guardian ran the opposite conclusion, hidden in the middle of a well balanced article covering the entire study and all factors.
