One question, health visitor coming round today, why do they visit before the birth? Feel like they're checking me out lol. Hope sexymouse is ok and glad you had a good bday rups, I turned 26 last month and all I got from dh were baby clothes! Hope yours was a bit more romantic

they just come and explain how it works hun like when they come out after birth, what they do, where you can go for support and then give you your red book which you need to take with you to hospital when in labour and then everywhere with baby

am tired.. yawn lol

glad your appointment went well toni. i wish i could say my birthday was romantic but dh isnt a romantic.he was at work so i just took a day off and chilled even though my day flew by so fast. lol. then he took me for dinner, but i was so tired by then we ate quickly and were back within no time. we had a coffee at a cafe and were back by 9 lol. look at us. old couple hey? lol. he got me a card which was nice as i never know wth him whether i am getting one or not. LOL..

well 34 now and feeling weird.

dont want to work.. wonder how sm is getting on at the hospital?

thanks for that marta. i want to see those weird shapes and sizes from my belly too. at the mo, still feel those pulses and in some areas see tummy rising and thats it.:) still feeling flutters too.. seeing midwife today. :0)

thanks Ikkle i havn't stopped cleaning the house today, i just worry everyones judging you on what kind of mum your going to be! shes not coming until 3 so ill be well and truely worn out by then lol, my birthday was on the 20th august
i know how you feel Rups, i went to the pub last friday for my mums birthday and i was struggling to stay there until 10, it was really hard work lol! plus theres only so much cranberry juice and lemonade i can drink
Im now looking at toys in the argos 3 for 2 they have today, i want to buy a few for my little one for christmas, so far ive got a fisher price soothe and glow seahorse in my basket as they look quite good and a large talking minnie mouse for my little niece, dont know what else i could get my little one.....

I reckon they arrange a visit to try and kickstart the 'nesting' instinct - you dont mind family and friends knowing you are a little messy/untidy but if its a stranger who is going to be making notes about your child...:eek: :eek:

cant wait to get to this nesting stage lol. am still tired and energyless. we have the guy doing our carpets tomorrow morning so dh and his brother will have to prepare the place and i said i would dinner lol

toni you are organised. i keep thinking i better order xmas presents online but havent yet. will keep them small this year as baby is due on 24th so i cant be asked to make a big deal for xmas. lol.

Welcome newcook! Thanks for that, I thought we'd be more susceptible to food poisoning! Only because DH and I had exactly the same things for dinner and he had a bit of a rumbling tummy in the morning, whilst I had a lot more than that. I'm glad it's all over though.
Sounds like you had a nice relaxing birthday yesterday Rups. I wouldn't worry too much about going home early. I do it too! Being pregnant is quite tiring
Toni - a week today? How exciting! Sorry to hear you got baby clothes for your birthday men Happy belated birthday though. Sorry I can't help with toys as I've not got a clue what would be suitable. So far all of mine's toys are comforters or soft toys. How boring is that? I'll need to look into it at some point...
I'm having a few hours off studying today to get myself organised as there's been loads of things I've been putting off. I'm looking forward to it though as I normally feel guilty when not studying but I know I need to get these sorted out now...

Rups, ive been tired and lacking energy until this week, i think its just properly kicked in that im going to be a mum very soon! so i have to start getting things in order lol. Have fun seeing midwife

oh wow, enjoy every minute of it because it goes by so quickly, at least you wont be massive during the summer worked it out nicely lol
