  • Thanks for all the advice on the non-bio situation. Will definitely get some then as DH has sensitive skin anyway so if babies take after him we will definitely need it. Hoping it helps his skin as the same time!

Would using vanish or something similar be ok? I know we arent to use conditioner but would really like to keep my whites white!

Think I overdid it last night, went through all the baby things we have been given and bagged them up into age stages etc to go into attic for now. DH made up a new sofa bed we bought for me to BF on in nursery and filled cupboard in there with nappies, wipes etc. Also hung up all the little dresses we have so far in the wardrobe :). Will wash all them later when we get to needing them. Have got all the smaller items of clothing ready for washing later. Just going out shopping for non-bio

Hmmm ladies, completely OT, but it's our anniversary soon and the gifts are apparently (no kidding) sugar or iron (!). I normally get hubby something vaguely related to the 'recommended' list as I think it's fun. Although this year have been so busy I've forgotten till now.

Any ideas? I'm thinking there could be some good iron options out there (wrought iron, cast iron) but no ideas what they are. We've recently moved into our own house for the first time so could get inventive if my mind was working I'm sure...

Congratulations. We had this dilema last year. Not sure if your DH likes cooking, but I do and my DH bought me a cast iron wide, shallow casserole dish (like le crueset but from Denby). I know its not terribly exciting, but I love mine and it should last a very long time. I know House of Fraser also have nice ones

I should have thought of that! We've just been to Brittany and cast iron crepe pans were everywhere :)
  • Well done Rups! Chuckling at the thought of your OH queuing up in Waitrose for breast pads… told my OH if I run out he may have to do things like that…he didn’t look impressed!

I’m going to be a bad mum…I’m using wet wipes and bio unless my baby has a reaction…but my mum did it for me and I’m alive! Bio actually makes my arm pits and backs of knees swell and go red so I must have the reverse allergy!

Congrats on Zachary Kittycat – my friend just named her LO Zachariah so very similar!

Congrats Bellola – love love love the name for your baby girl…very beautiful!

Ok so today I saw the midwife (31 wk appt)… she said that if my babies pattern is sleep and not move much from 7am to 3pm this is fine because he moves loads from 3pm to 7am and its what he does. She said I measure spot on for my dates, hb was good and that I still have to have a 36 week scan to check everything over (grr!0 but I suppose it will be nice to have another peak of baby! She offered me sickness tabs but warned thety can make a big baby…I turned them down because I’d prefer suffer than risk making baby big unnecessarily!

Pleased to hear the midwife appointment went well dizsie and that baby is healthy. Hope you stop feeling sick soon. Have you looked at whether there are any particular foods or smells etc that trigger it?

Back from waxing - didn't hurt as much as last time, but it was a different salon and different type of wax - this was clear pink hot wax, whereas the Champney's one had been like strawberry blancmange hot wax. She still missed a few bits, so I angled our bathroom mirror as much as I could and managed to get a few with the tweezers. Also saw that my stretch marks under my bump have got worse though. :( Has anyone tried the cussons mum and me stretch mark fader? Does it work?
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
