Deffo. They'll have straps of all sorts of colour. Alternatively get yourself a cheap bag from the market that has the right kind of strap, and take it off and reattach it to the changing bag.
My mum's done this too. You'd have thought it would be better if she just bought herself bags she liked in the first place"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
just popping in with a quick post, will read back in mo,
Saw midwife who booked me in today, she has a totally different attitude which has left me even more confused about how spud is doing ! She measured me and im only just measuring 36, which means in 2 weeks its only gone up 1cm - BUT he is now 2/5ths engaged so that could explain why its not changed as expected. She said she doesnt think much of growth scans as they can be wrong, which doesnt help me much really !?!?
She was VERY anti induction and said she believes i shouldnt even be offered an induction on my due date (gutted)but said to see what happens at next scan and go from there,
So after lots of hassle to make the appointment and actually get there im not really much wiser :rotfl:
Hope you all having a good day - going to be a lazy pj day for us againBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
Mishkanorman I really don't have much faith in the MW measurements. When I was a few days overdue the MW measured me and felt my bump and said "This is going to be a small baby". I told her that I'd had scans that indicated the baby would be about 8 lbs at birth. She sort of laughed and said "I wouldn't think so". I was worried then, but had a scan a few days later and the consultant said the baby was about 8 lb. She was born about 5 days later at 8 lb 4.5 oz.0

Sorry to hear your appointment has left you with more questions than answers mishka - hope that you enjoy your pj day.
I'm just back from the V-E-T with my poor moggie who's had to have his annual boosters. He's since disappeared next door (probably won't see him again until the evening now). Vet told us that he may have to have a dental treatment in November as his teeth are covered in tartar (stupid MIL has been feeding him wet food etc - lives next door) and it could cost £300! Have just ordered some dental catfood online so hoping this will help us avoid this as he's 8 now and would have to go under GA and I'm worried that it'll be very traumatic for him (he had a leg amputated when he was 3 as he's been run over twice, so has a phobia of the V-E-T anyway). Was thinking it's going to be quite hard work taking him with a baby in tow as well too!
Off out for a catch-up with a friend today, but need to do a few things in town first (including paying £2.60 for a package someone has sent me without enough postage on it ). Realised I've not had my RLT today so think I'll have a cup of that before I go.
Hugs to all who need or want them and labour vibes where appropriate.

had a tough couple of days with baby dropping and getting ready, but i managed a really great sleep last night and woke up full of beans today. already baked a cake and some flatbreads, done a wash, tidied up, made DH a proper brekky before work, kids up dressed and out to play! most unlike me. done a little list on my whiteboard of stuff i want to get done today...0 -
Make the most of the energy Mummyoftwo - I had 2 days worth a few days ago and then was absolutely exhausted yesterday. I think I may have overdone it too, but the plum bread I made is yummy, and the aquanatal helped to burn some of the calories from it off. lolEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

phew. was wondering where those kicks were.
i know midwife said movements start from 20 weeks so have been waiting since then. haha. i didnt know she meant movements such as the flutters and pulse type ones. :0) weird thing i can feel them one moment at the bottom of the tummy and then under the belly button and then i wonder where the baby is and where the movements are actually coming from ;0) lol
regarding bf, i have heard too about midwives forcing women. some of us can do it and some cant. its not somehting we can help right?Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I've put in my birthplan that I'd like to breastfeed if I can, but not to force it if it isn't working. I also put that I don't want anyone touching my breasts without permission as a friend of mine had every midwife in the place feel that they could just haul her's around like lumps of meat cos she couldn't feed her little one. My midwife said that this was fine and that they're a lot more hands off now than they used to be.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
