    Morning all :)
Called in sick today after another night of no sleep and no voice this morning :o just can't sleep sitting up so everytime I managed to drop off I slid down to horizontal and then woke up coughing! Hope the new drugs kick in soon.

Really annoyed as I had a whole day of labwork planned which I was looking forward too. Feeling too zombified to drive though, let alone work with chemicals.:rotfl:

Hope everyone else had a better night, and has a good day, am going to prop myself upright on the sofa and try to nap :o

Hope you got some sleep and feel better now Rups. You must've missed it yesterday, but I posted to say PM mishkanorman if you want to join the facebook group :) There are a lot of people on there now!

Thanks for posting the birth story rjh, I always love to read them. I sympathise with the tears, I tore badly both times and it isn't nice when they don't do a good job of the stitching up.

LadyM don't worry if you can't or don't want to breastfeed. I will never be trying again and it's written clearly in my notes that I want to formula feed. This time my MW was fine and said she won't say a word to me about it, but with my son it was the total opposite and the MW tried her hardest to make me feel awful. Make sure you do what is best for you and don't let anyone make you feel bad for that.

It's nice that you're still here LMM, it feels weird when everyone starts slowly (or quickly lately!) leaving the thread. Glad that you're both doing so well :)

Have a great week MMM it sounds like you'll be very busy. I finally picked up the free changing bag, but I agree that it's pretty useless. Such a shame the tesco glitch didn't work, I haven't found another bag that I like since.

Rest up and hope you feel better soon LittleMoog.

My parents have decided to take the kids away for the weekend so they can have some fun before going back to school. They'll be trudging round the North York Moors getting muddy, and I can relax and finally catch up on some sleep during the daytime :)

  • Aida, my breast pump came in a bundle I bought on ebay for £1.04 so thought it wouldnt hurt to see what it was like at that price. It looks a decent pump but the parts look a bit yellowed with age and use so will see if I can get replacement parts, if not I will get another. Probably 2nd hand but again, will probably replace the parts that matter if I can.

I think an electric one would be better for me as going to try and express as much as I can with it being twins. Will be nigh on impossible to bf twins discreetly in public I think! Then OH can help too

Rjh - thanks for the birth story. You did really well, especially considering his size. Hope your stitches heal quickly

Im a little concerned about the milk coming in 2-3 days after birth :o, how on earth am I going to feed 2 if Im not producing a lot til then?! Will the colostrum be enough for them til the milk starts? Really need to see midwife and ask her all these things!

LadyM, I saw these on Amazon yesterday while I was looking for breast pump parts. hth

LittleMoog, the omeprazole will work, but you need to give it a few days. It's not like gastrocote/gaviscon - it doesn't neutralise the acid, instead it stops your body producing it and it takes a while to get going. Stick with it, things will improve. It's also important to take it at the same time each day.

  • Oh can anybody help me? I have bought a changing bag (months ago now) from TK MAXX because I really liked the colours and it is a great size and its all packed and fab and I love it…however I realised the over day that there is no cross body strap with it L

Does anybody know where I can get a strap to match? I can’t post pics but it is this one (brown) http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=7905&e=product&pid=62724

You could take it to a cobblers - they'll stick another strap on for you. My mum did just this with one of her handbags. Only cost her a few quid.
