Triangle – I am very organised with every aspect in life… chaotic, unorganised people drive me nuts and if them being disorganised affects me doing what I want/need to do I mostly cut them out…harsh but that’s just the way I am! Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today? My Nan died in January aged just 65… to me this has shown me even more not to procrastinate and to just get on with things because you never know what is around the corner… To shock you even more …. Babies hospital bag is already packed (mine isn’t) so if he came at any minute I would be prepared (although he might not fit the nappies and clothes!)

:T:T I'm very organised too - lists are my best friend! I think it was the other Dizzi on here who got everythnig ready super early and was very pleased she did as her little one was prem. I'm not too shocked about the hospital bag...although if you told me you had already picked out school stationary I think I would be! :D Sounds so silly, but I'm very excited about doing all that sort of stuff in a few years time...without wishing the time away of course! :D

Cake and Dizsie you've both done so well with your bargains!

I used to be so organised and I had a little notebook full of lists for everything that I carried everywhere. Then I met DH - the world's most disorganised man - and just gave up. I still find writing lists really therapeutic, but I never act on them anymore.

Triangle - I remember looking forward to future things like picking out school bits when my daughter was little. Then she got bigger and I spent all my time wishing I could go back to buying all the small baby things :rotfl:

Aida, I bought mine 2nd hand, and hoping not to use it. It's a medela swing and the person I bought it from included brand new pipes and 'membranes' (still need to figure out what goes where). The box is covered in warnings that these are personal items and the warranty doesn't carry over and all sorts, but I think it will be fine especially given I'll hopefully not get much use out of it :) Not sure precisely where the milk goes once the pump is going either, I think you can just attach the end of the hose to anything though although I'm really not sure.

I wish my boobs would grow! lol. I know they will when my milk comes in but due to my disabilities and things, I'm not even sure if breastfeeding is the right route to take so I take it the milk just dries up? I hope nobody is going to jump on me for my decision.:o I have my valid reasons.:o

If they try to start they'll have ME to contend with - you don't have to justify yourself - don't fall into the trap of feeling you do ;-)

You'll get a couple of days 2-3 days after the birth when your milk comes in and you have boobs to rival the page3 girlies... the course of action the hospital staff were all advising was not to touch the atomic norks at all - the more you fiddle with them the longer the milk will stick around. Cold cabbage leaves from the fridge down yer bra is meant to help with it.

And yeah I was the one with the nursery all done and shopping list all bought by about 24 weeks... all we had to do when I went into labour at 33 weeks was put the moses basket by the bed (and track down umpteen prem baby clothes but I couldn't have realistically forward planned that one).
