Also - I'm going to a dinner dance in Oct - I'll be about 22 weeks and think I'll need a new dress. Will I be showing by then (it's my first, I've got a bump at the moment but only I can see the bump, everyone else just thinks I'm fat) and if so - any suggestions for a nice dress? I like Isabella Oliver ones but I reckon they'll only look good if you're a skinny minnie and I was a 12/14 before I got pg.
There's a pic of me at 23 weeks on the facebook group in an Isabella Oliver top, but I am/was a size 6-8 (that's a size 0 top in Isabella Oliver money although the size 1 fits practically identically). Most of their stuff seems to be either ruched or wrap-around so if it looks good on you now it probably will with a bump too - the bump will just be accommodated by the ruching/wrap, so worth a look. There is still a sale on on their website if you want to have a rummage to see if anything suitable is going in your size (or 2nd hand ebay!)

Oh my goodness! Thank God we decided to try to fit the easyfix isofix base today and didn't wait til I was in labour to try to figure it out and fit it! After watching a kiddicare video, it looked fairly simple (we got the base second-hand so didn't have a manual). However, about 30 minutes later and lots of swearing from Moon (the manual for my car isn't that helpful either), Moon finally managed to fit the base. We put the car-seat on it no problems, but trying to get it off again is a real nightmare! When trying to do so, I pulled the handle of the car-seat down to the lifting out position, and whacked myself in the cheek - now have a nice red mark. It's really tricky pulling the part of the base out that is needed to release the seat, as the foot pole is right under my knuckles, so goodness knows how hard it's going to be once Bean is in the seat too. Lots more practise needed methinks.

I'm really not in the mood to practise with the pushchair now that we've recovered it from MIL's next door (don't want to have to go and get it once Bean has arrived or she'll know he's here, so Moon told her we're getting it now so we can practise with it - probably a good job if the car-seat is anything to go by). Oh well, at least that's one more thing that can be crossed off the list of things to do now, so at least Bean has a packed bag and a seat to go home in. Moon is hoovering off the seat as it was a bit dusty, and I'm going to find a bag to put the blanket in, so that I can put that inside it and it won't get forgotten.

Fingers crossed that everything is progressing for you at last rj - my friend went into labour at 12.50am, and she posted on facebook at 12.30pm that he's obviously too comfy in there and doesn't want to come out.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Rups don't stress too much if you do end up on your back - my midwife told me that it's much better that you get some sleep lying on your back than don't get any sleep at all - as long as you don't feel faint if you do, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem - I've had friends from other areas who've been told exactly the same thing - sleeping on the left side is just the ideal sleep position as it doesn't compress the main artery. I've slept on my back quite a lot of my pregnancy - I just end up on it somehow, and Bean is fine, so don't panic!
