Oh yes I'd forgotten about that ikkle - it arrived the other day - think I've got a pocket on the back of the bag that I could fit it into (fingers crossed). x
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Hello all!

Just popping in whilst feeding bubski monster.
RJH glad your mum is here safely. Congrats at being number 1!
Kitten washing you all the best for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you lots.
BCS good luck with your induction, hope your having cuddles soon.
SM sounds good what you packed. I think as I was in for 4/5 days in my head I'd tell you to pack lots more. I would have a back up bag with more clothes, nappies etc. I used wiped, sensitive ones. The midwife in high dependency unit said she want gonna tackle meconium with cotton wool.
Red book it's prob different for different areas. The midwife on day he was born filled his in and gave it to me. I didn't have it before I went in.
Rups the earlier you strt buying little bits the more you spread the cost. Just buy a pack f maternity pads etc a week or some fluffy socks and you'll be ok

Right bubs needs winding. Hopefully he'll sleep for a few hours. We survived night one with no major dramas. Hope will be the same tonight.

Big labour vibes to the boldies, hugs to the needing them. Night xx

You would know if you were in labour hun, the minute you get a contraction, never mind your waters breaking you will be in a tizz and on the phone to the midwife/hospital etc lol. Vic_Rich's baby was born early and at 29 weeks and he's doing really well so don't get yourself in a tizz over it.

How far gone are you now?

You want to tell him to shut up and stop being a twat, does he think he's funny trying to scare a pregnant person by putting negative idea's into your head and scaring you unnecessarily. You don't need any extra anxieties and he should pee right off. As for him mentioning abortion you want to ask him if he's always a stupid pr!ck who doesn't think before he speaks or is he making a special exception for you? Like you would wait so long and be so nervous/excited over a baby if you were gonna have a termination the twit.

Sorry but i have a real problem with people trying to scaremonger pregnant women, as someone with massive anxieties at the minute about the baby and if everything is ok if someone came over and said something to me like what he's said to you he'd get a right rollicking and a half.

    *and breathe*

ikkle i did tell him off and said that he should not go around telling pregnant women that. what an idiot indeed. i didnt think about it until now when i just wrote it. was telling DH about it and he said the same thing. weirdo. my brother also told dh that we shouldnt fly by plane anywhere now as he heard about a woman giving birth at 25 weeks when she was in Tenerife. what makes him think i cant over here in the UK? lol. DH said thats so OTT and we have to deal with whatever happens whenever. lol.

also MIL keeps telling us to hold off on buying stuff esp as we have our eye on the furniture set from mothercare. today DH told me that in case something went wrong, we should buy too much. bloody hell. how about thinking all will go well. anyway told my mum about the cot etc and she said we should get it and she will pay us when she gets back from holiday. i know people are scared but what can we do? i am actually thinking that i want to be positive and enjoy it rather than worrying too much and whatever will happen will do and its all in god's hands no? sorry too much jibber jabber here.

you could get your cot on mothercare's babyplan? I think men generally do worry more they just don't always express it very well x
