Told family at 18 weeks because it was beginning to show and a few others who have seen us. Looking like baby will arrive early next week so should probably work out how to tell others. Still haven't told all family and majority of friends don't yet know due to me hibernating.

With regards to the tv here. It would cost £25 for the 5 days but there is wifi for £12 which lasts 7 so using that which works out much better. Never asked about plugging things in just did it.

Hope all is well and the spider was removed. Sleep well all.

I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Sorry you are feeling rubbish, but good luck for today BCS :)

Hope you managed some sleep in the end rjh. At least your mum arrives today and you are getting closer to meeting baby!

Kitten glad everything is still ok, thinking of you.

Lol at the spider, there seem to be so many everywhere this year. My kids came down at 4.30am to watch tv quietly and let us sleep, but then they noticed a 'giant tarantula monster spider' on the wall and probably woke up the neighbours as well as us with all the noise they made!

As for telling people I told my mum at 14 weeks over the phone, and no one else until after 20 weeks. I didn't want to tell my mum until we got past 20 weeks but we were going away with them at 15 weeks, so it would have been impossible to explain away the daily aspirin and being off foods/emotional. I was never like that with my kids, then we announced it to the world as soon as we found out, 5 and 6 weeks. Having the miscarriages completed changed my feelings on telling people though, so this time it was very different. DH announced it on facebook as we had the anomaly scan, which really annoyed me as I didn't want anyone outside the family to know. Tbh I still wish no one knew.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend, it's still quiet on here.

We did the facebook thing too, immediate family got phoned the day of the 12 week scan, close friends got told in the next week or two, then the scan pic went on facebook :) Told work after the 12 week scan too, I'm quite slim and was starting to show about then anyway (not that I think the men in the office would have twigged, I'd been eating very strange things constantly before that to help with the morning sickness and practically fallen asleep at my desk a few times, and had been off my tea and coffee!, and no-one noticed).

    Morning all.

Kitten I am sure they will be delighted for you, if a little surprised at first.

Been up for nearly two hours, too uncomfortable to sleep. Meh.

I am off to find some stuff to flog on e Bay, free listing this weekend for private sellers x

VK, I tested with a cheap test from Poundland or somewhere and got an accurate positive, but it did say on the instructions that your hormones are most concentrated in your first morning pee so to try then? Worth a shot? Fingers crossed for you!

    Good luck today bcs.

Pleased to say that after making dh pull apart the living room at midnight after he'd done a 16 hr day the monster spider has been despatched!! I'm seriously considering doing one of those courses to stop you being scared as I don't want his baby o be as irrationally freaked out by them as me.

Another long day at work coming up for me. I had a mini meltdown at work yesterday as I was doing a really bumpy job which didn't feel great and then I started worrying that I don't feel pregnant - just fat and I haven felt any movement yet at 17+4. A massive bar of galaxy and a long soak sorted me out though. Roll on winter I say when harvest is finished.

The bit between the two scans is the worst I think, all my 1st trimester symptoms vanished and I didn't have movement (for sure) until the week of my 20 week scan so I was the same. Hang in there, soon will see baby again :)
