Wow, it's quiet on here today - has everyone got busy for the bank holiday. I'm bored and very uncomfortable in my lady bits. Feels like there's something stuck there - I'm guessing that's baby then. :rotfl:Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Evening all!
Well I couldn't find a good bag for my hospital bag when I went into town earlier, but my Mum called me whilst I was out (she got back from her holiday today) and asked if I wanted to come over this afternoon - she said that I was more than welcome to look at the holdalls etc they had in the loft, and I've found one that's the perfect size! :T She said that I can borrow it, so I may start packing my bag tonight, although it's probably more likely it'll be tomorrow as I've just realised that the bath sheet I need to pack in the bottom of the bag probably needs washing as it's not one we normally use (it's red and I tend to take it on holiday with me as a beach towel as it doesn't really go with our others). It's not a very glamorous bag (it's grey) but it's functional and free so that's the main thing.
Also showed my Mum the travel cot in the Asda baby event when round at her house and she's bought one to use when Bean comes over (we'll collect it on Monday when we go in, and she's going to buy another mattress to go on top so that it's a bit more comfortable).
My Mum's holiday was in Switzerland, so we now have 5 lovely bars of Swiss chocolate to enjoy!
Went to a music event at our local pub this evening to support a friend in his band - it's the first time we've seen them, and they were absolutely awful! We went for moral support though, and they appreciated us coming .
Hope the reason the forum's so quiet is cos people are having fun or having babies!
Hugs to all who need or want them, labour vibes where appropriate!

I'm currentley 15+3 (EDD 12/2/13) with my first. It's been a longish, tough road for us, finally got bfp 5 days before IVF!!
As its my first, I'm nervous/excited/scared and everything inbetween!!
I'm more of a lurker than a poster cos I never know what to say! You all seem a lovely bunch with loads of words of wisdom and a massive support to each other.
Hope you don't mind me starting with a question - I found out yesterday from the midwife I'm rhesus negative:(, are any of you in the same boat? It does make me feel a little more cautious about things.
Hi countrybum,
Welcome although Iv just moved over from the <12 weeks thread too, im a little behind you at 13+1, but found out im rhesus negative as well.
I mentioned it to the MW when i saw her the other day, as i recieved a letter about it about 3 weeks ago, but was told unless i bleed or have an injury not to worry till 28 weeks when i need another blood test and to recieve an injection incase baby comes early to preven anti-bodies from forming. Hope this helps, im trying to learn more about it to but trying not to worry, its just one of those things, means we have O neg blood which only 7% of people have.Wow, it's quiet on here today - has everyone got busy for the bank holiday. Ah ellie, good luck telling the family & friends - I'm not much help there I'm afraid as we had to tell the family by phone (all live too far away)!0

I told my gran over the phone as was really struggling to cope with things early on. (MIL had just died and was so much to sort out and I was upset/happy/excited/frightened) Told SIL in person when I was 7 weeks because we wanted to see her smile for the first time in a month. Told my mum we were looking for 2 bedroom houses and she said why so I said cos the baby needs a room of their own and she thought I was winding her up. Told my dad via email, everyone else either found out via my big gob of a boss or via facebook xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

We told my dad via a scan pic in his birthday card. And my mum got a Handbook for Grandmas for mothers day (it was the same day). They opened them and stood looking at each other for a bit before asking what the other got, then they put two and two together. Ha ha. Did scan pic in DH's mum's mothers day card as well.
Told my closest friends in person, and then DH put it up on facebook for everyone else.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
