  • Welcome back Rups, I'm glad you had a good time on your hols.
sm - sorry to hear about your iron levels. I'm baffled though. How can it possibly have gone down with all your efforts?? I'm not a medic so can't really help there, sorry :( but I hope you get it sorted.

  • Thanks ladies. They didnt tell me why Im not entitled to ESA on the phone, just said they will send me all the paperwork and I can appeal if I want or just to apply for JSA.

Once I have all the paperwork I will make an appointment to go in and talk to someone about what I need to do next and what Im entitled to. Im assuming they will help with that? Or will it be best to go to citizens advice? Not a clue about things like this. TIA

Perhaps you should post on the Disabilty & Dosh or benefits board as someone on there will be able to help you.

Tbh I was of the impression that pregnant ladies went on ESA whilst pregnant. I'm on IB so not really 100% sure but there are people on those boards that know all about ESA, the D & D one tends to be nicer so try that one first.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Just phoned hospit to see if this was normal. She said its nothing to do with sweep and everyOne feels crap heavily pregnant. Helpful. If baby doesn't start moving more I will be back up there tonight.

    Welcome back Rups.

Hugs rjh, sounds like it's all really dragging on, and it doesn't help when no one seems to really care at the hospital.

Good luck BCS, hope the sweep has worked. If not you might get a quick induction, I was warned they could take days to work and it was only a couple of hours when i had my son.

sexymouse glad everything went well with the MW. You seem to be have been trying so hard to up your iron with your eating, so that is a surprise.

Cake - how far gone are you? I was going to apply for JSA once hubby finished studying for the summer, but I wasn't allowed as over 29 weeks pregnant they'll only put you onto Income Support instead. That was fine by me, as I get some money for 10 weeks until he's at uni, but if your OH works you won't be able to claim IS. So I have a horrible feeling you may be entitled to nothing thanks to the rubbish system. Hope I'm wrong though.

good luck rjh. i really hope it happens for you. Your hospital sound so annoying. :(

sm sorry to hear about your iron levels. i hope the doc or midwife can help you out there? sometimes it is the counter effect of another medication and it could be that. hugs to you all.

you would think these people would know what to say or do esp when women are heavily pregnant and ready to give birth! i do wonder about these professionals sometimes.

Thanks Rups. I'm just beig a cranky pants. On plus side my other half has his interview for the Devon job on Thursday. All signs are looking very good so far and a few comments his current manager have made have signalled positive things. Trying not to get my hopes up but I need something positive to focus on ATM with induction hanging over my head!
