Sorry Cake I just remembered you were having twins. Maybe you have extra appointments?
You also have extra appointments when it's your first. You should have a 28 week appointment cake xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

24th August, I came so late to fourms I never bothered to ask to be put on thier ..sorry
They are getting pretty strong now and quite painful but still infreq and irregular...I really think this is it but Mum explained the whole 'early labour stage' and having to be 4cms etc...
She said it could still go either way but since then thats when they have been getting stronger etc. So im pretty sure its just a waiting game now. :TPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

kayalana - do you have any clary sage oil? its very good for regulating your contractions, either in a bath, as a bump massage oil, or in an oil burner0

kayalana sounds like things might be happening for you? Fingers crossed you get to meet your little one soon
labour vibes for you too rjh, seems like you've been waiting forever!
LadyM as far as I was aware, you can opt for c-section now they've changed the rules, whether or not a consultant would say it was what they recommend? How annoying that your consultant doesn't seem to have any understanding of ME though. Like you say, maybe your MIL will be able to get your point across for you, and you can get an outcome that you feel more comfortable with.
Vic congratulations, little Jack is so lovely. Best wishes to you both x
AFM, I've had a lazy day todayOH's mum, sister and niece have been staying with us over the weekend and they left early this morning. Was lovely to see them, and we've had some nice days out, but it's been a little stressful trying to get the house ready for them to stay, and then trying to keep the place tidy and cook dinners and all of that. Feel like I'm being a bit moany, don't mean it like that, just feel like I've barely sat down for the last 4 days!
Oh, and thanks to all who wished me luck for my theory test - I passed, whoopJust got to do the practical test now, which I'm not too keen about. Especially as it's currently booked for only a few days before my due date  Was the earliest slot available, so hoping I might be able to get a cancellation for a different date

Just to let you know, that unless you have a medical need for a c-section (as advised by a consultant) or you are willing to pay for one yourself privately, that the rules regarding optional c-sections haven't changed. It is only if you can prove that it is necessary that they will let you have one due to the costs involved etc. The media are to blame for this misunderstanding as I was under the impression that you could opt for a c-section too. This is according to my NCT teacher.
ETA have just looked on the NHS Choices website and this confirms this - the NICE guidelines (2011) state that if a woman is terrified of childbirth, that they have to go to counselling about it, and then if the counsellor still sees it as necessary, she may be allowed to have one. It it the counsellor's role though to try to disuade her and support her to deal with her fears.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Welcome Ellie!
Thanks for letting us know about huggies Dizsie. I too have some vouchers and couldn't say no to cheap nappies
Cake - like ikkle said, if this is your first you should have an appointment at 28 weeks. I had 18, 25, 28, 31. I'll have one at 34 and mw already told me that it's every other week from 34 onwards. I have a list with my notes. It may be worth having a look at your file to see if you can find one too.
Congrats on passing your test snowbean! I hope you manage to get your practical soon.:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
