Forecast here says sunny spells this morning then rain after that, which will continue tomorrow too, so I'm not going to bother with washing today MummyofTwo. :(

Off to Lindt store opening in a minute. :) Don't feel great this morning though - feel a bit sicky, and have been very gassy lately. :o

Bump picture for 34+1 taken (we do them every 2 weeks in the same pyjamas and same positions so hopefully by the end of the pregnancy we'll be able to line them all up and see how I've changed. Bump definitely had a funny shape to it when facing foward today. :p

    Can't believe I'm in the 20s now - exciting! :j

Well I'd best go and clean my teeth and head off. It'll take a while to get to Gunwharf and then I've got to park etc.

Hugs to all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.

    Morning all, I'm back :)

I've tried to read back but I'm exhausted and not feeling my best so I haven't managed it all and I can really remember what I've read :o

Thanks for doing the lists savage (and anyone else who did them)

    Welcome to the newbies

Congratulations Gemma and good luck fishcake

I had a lovely weekend. Walked round the flower show on Friday, which was fun but it was so hot and I walked around too much so I was sore after. Saturday we went to the spa which was good fun, we spent time chatting and giggling, had lunch then went in the pool and bobbed around. After we went for our treatments. I had a back massage and foot ritual (soak, scrub and massage) which really helped my feet and ankles go down. Unfortunately after sitting in the car home for nearly 2 hours they look the same again but at least for a few hours I had normalish looking feet :rotfl: We then had a few drinks (non-alcoholic for me :)) and a three course dinner. I went to bed early as my bump was so sore and with the heat and noise I got myself into a bit of a state so needed to go be quiet (and have a little cry :o). I've realised at this late stage I really don't want to be apart from DH for too long, especially at night :o
Yesterday was one of my nephew's 3rd birthday so my PILs did a party for him, we also got to have squishy cuddles with his new baby sister (our first niece), who is a week old. She was so tiny and cute and I kept looking at her then at my bump thinking wow there's one of those inside me! :)

Sorry that been all about me :o I hope you all had good weekends

    xx

I know, I did it this morning and realised I'm 19! Trying not to get too excited about my approaching EDD though as I have a feeling I'm going to go over and LO will need to be excited ;)

  • Oh my god what happened ladies ....over the weekend I have crept to number 57!!!

Lots of bootsale bargains it seems! I got a bargain at a bootsale yesterday too.. a Fisher Price Rainforest Playmat BRAND NEW for £3!!! When the RRP is about £45ish!! :D

I can't bare to be without my OH...when I was in hospital at Xmas I was really ill but really traumatised at being without him overnight so I am really scared about staying in overnight and him having to go home and he really hates leaving me on my own...it stresses him out as he knows how much it upsets me :( Genuinely feel like I am about to cry as this is the first time I have realised I could be in overnight without him...sorry I can't even blame hormones on this one...I am just that lovesick and pathetic!!!

It looks like my hospital is 11am to 8pm but if an amenity room is available it is £120 a night to keep partners in too (or £80 if just me and baby)... does this seem like the going rate???

    Morning all :)

Had a busy weekend painting nursery. Slightly worried that the colour we've gone for has come out a bit luminous :o it shines out into the hall when the door is open and makes everything look green  Hopefully once we get furniture and curtains in it will tone it down a bit! :rotfl: Still need to do the glossing, and a wee bit of touching up on the ceiling, but we're hoping to get that done tonight, and then go to Ikea in the week to get the curtains, wardrobe and storage unit. Have ordered the John Lewis vouchers to buy our cot and mattress (as DH gets them at a 9% discount through work :money:) so once those arrive I can order the cot and mattress. Only furniture left to get will be the under cot drawer, so I can start unpacking and washing things and getting everything set up :j

Had lunch at MILs yesterday, which was nice, BIL and his gf were there too. MIL gave us a bag of clothes she's bought for Beanie, they're all really nice unisex things, from GAP, Jojo and Next, and mostly in newborn/up to 1 month, which I don't have any of yet, so that's handy!

With the hubby staying in thing - when E was born I started out on the delivery suite, spent one overnight in there not in confirmed labour but they wouldn't let me go home after discovering my waters were leaking - he was allowed to stay there, and spent the night lying on a yoga mat on the floor.

Following day (I was going to have to stay in at least 24 hours to get the second steroid injection) they talked about moving me and I was terrified at the idea of being left without hubby - so they said they'd put me in a side room where he'd be able to stay... then moved me there and the evil evil woman in charge of the ward basically turned around and said "we lied - he'll be getting kicked out at 8pm". As events progressed my waters broke before that - so we got sent BACK down to the labour suite and then on to theatre for the forceps fun and games.

Then got wheeled briefly to NICU for 2 minutes of "that one's yours now leave till the morning" and chucked onto a maternity ward. This was about midnight and the woman in charge took one look at hubby, said "look we can't have you on the ward for the privacy of the other women (funnily they let other dads hang around for hours to settle their women in the dead of night) - but you're in no state to drive - you can go in our triage room but we'll have to wake you up at 6am and kick you down into the cafe so we can get it ready for use during the morning". Normal "dad" visiting hours were 9am - 9pm... normal visiting visiting hours were 2pm - 7pm (and HOW I looked forward to 7pm when we had interesting roommates - the queue outside for the start of visiting time generally resembled the Jeremy Kyle show with the addition of helium balloons). Think I've already mentioned the dad who showed up and dumped the toddler on mum for babysitting all day!
