Well, talking of confusing advice how's this...
Saw MW about 2 weeks ago now, and was told... if you have any problems or concerns or worries of anything ring maternity triage at the hospital. She then asked her colleague for the number because she didn't have it and her colleague said 'oh no I don't have that one' so then the MW said to us... Oh well, just ring any old number for the hospital, you'll get through to the right place in the end! My OH was less than impressed and came out saying 'so when you're screaming the place down and I don't know why, I'll ring the arthritis department shall I'!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the quality of care I get!!!
Oh, and I only know about needing to feel movement everyday from you guys. They've NEVER said anything to me about doing anything if I don't feel baby move and I'm 34 weeks now! :j

If you were booked in for a c-section in 21 days time and your husband announced he had to go to London on business next week when you would be approx 15 - 18 days away from giving birth do you think it would be reasonable or unreasonable to ask why he had to go? Also bearing in mind that you would need someone to look after your 4 other children and your nearest relative was 40 mins drive away. Am I being unreasable to ask if he really has to go?????My opinion is neither copyrighted nor trademarked, and it's price competitive. If you like, I'll trade for one of yours.0

Hello everyone, can I join you please?
I've had my dating scan today and am 12+2 with an EDD of 20th February 2013. I've got to go back next week for another scan as baby wouldn't post for the nuchal testing measurements.
It's my first and I'm terrified and clueless but it now seems real after seeing it on the scan."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

If you are unreasonable, then I would be too. IMO it's too close to the delivery date and I wouldn't be happy either. I'd be asking him to see if there was any way it could be switched.

How far away is London from you?
London is 380 miles away from where we live. It would probably take him the best part of 7 or 8 hours (if lucky) to arrange transport and get here if something happened. Earlier this year he had to work in plymouth and we had an emergency at home. The hospital phoned him in the morning and told him he had to get home asap as our 8 year old son was critical in intensive care and he never got to the hospital until after 11 at night. Thankfully son is back to 100% health but it may explain even slightly why I am not keen on him going. :eek:My opinion is neither copyrighted nor trademarked, and it's price competitive. If you like, I'll trade for one of yours.0 -

I don't think it is unreasonable. My OH works occasionally in Cardiff which isn't that far away but we have discussed it with his work that he doesn't have to go until after the baby is here and if urgent work comes up they can come to London. I wouldn't be happy him being away if it can be avoided at all.Hello everyone, can I join you please?

I feel lost today. I'm swollen, achey and sore...normal pregnancy aches and pains. But it's left me feeling really tired and not up to doing much. I just don't know what to do with myself. Feeling a bit grumpy. Wish this hot weather would get lost.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
