  • 24 weeks today!

    Happy V day to me!

I've been counting down to now for AGES... I know that statistically the chances of going into premature labour are low, but with the problems we've had it's hard to accept that everything's going fine. Still. Eeek! 24 weeks! Hurrah!

Wriggler kicked me this morning and it was really high up - I hadn't realised everything had moved up that far yet, it was between my bra and belly button!

    Morning all :)

Congratulations Gillybean on Mia, what a lovely name :) and big congratulations Sa-ra-ra-ra on V day, I felt much more relaxed after we reached it a few weeks ago, I found the weeks between the 20 week scan and V day dragged so much.

I had dinner with my best friend from school last night, which was lovely, haven't seen her since Christmas as she lives in Washington DC now! She's trying to get a transfer to the London office of her paper though, so fingers crossed she'll be back in the next year or two, meeting up once/twice a year is not enough! Picked her up from home so saw her mum as well, who told me I'm having a girl! Apparently she's never wrong, so will have to see in November! :rotfl:

Probably won't get on over the weekend as we're decorating Beanie's room and then out for dinner at a friends, and Sunday lunch at MILs *groan*.

Hope you all have a nice weekend, labour vibes to those that want them :)

Hi ya girlies !! It is getting hot, isnt it ? I spent the day yesterday at the beach and i am so tan right now.
I had the most beautiful dream last night, i keep dreaming my baby is a boy and looks just like daddy. Strange as Oh and me are not particularly bother about the sex. With dd it was the same, i kept dreaming she was a girl, and she was !! the only thing it was i could never see her little face in my dreams and with this baby is different...I feel so happy.

  • Congrats Gillybean, lovely name xx

Im having a bit of a panic now. Havent had a lot of movements since Weds afternoon. Theyre usually very active on an evening but all Ive been getting are twitches/light kicks and they are few and far between. Tried all the usual stuff, laying on my side, drinking a cold drink and having an ice lolly. They moved a tiny bit but nothing like normal. Wondered at first if it was because they were running out of room but just spoke to midwife and she told me to go in at 11 and she will listen to HBs. She struggled to find them last time, so said if she struggles again or she doesnt like what she hears she will refer me to hospital.

Im worried sick to be honest. Could actually puke right now :o

Morning everyone! Well it was epic, but I've finally caught up and got to he end of the thread! Congratulations Gillybean and all the other recent arrivals. Can't believe I'm into the 40s on the list now...eeep :/

probably should really get up and dressed as we've got another day of decorating the nursery today. I just want it to be finished now as the whole house is just a tip and I can't get anything organised or put away. It's all making me feel a bit wound up.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

    Hope everything goes ok Cake4Brains.

I must say though, I don't think I had what I would call regular movements until at least 30 weeks. Up until then I would have a few quiet days each week. Honestly, these little monkeys put us all through so much stress, I know I'm just going to be worrying about everything for the rest of my life!

Aw try not to panic Cake, I'm sure all is well. I sometimes get days where bean moving less than others for a few days, but I think they just have quiet periods sometimes. You might be right about them having less space, especially as there's two of them.
