Welcome to the world of maternity leave ferrety!

I'm off to my 34+4 midwife appointment in a bit. I can't wait to hear baby's heartbeat again and am interested to see if I'm still measuring okay.

Morning ladies

Quick question - how much "new baby" as opposed to 0-3 months clothes will you have in before your babies arrive? We have some 0-3 months stuff, but no new baby things yet. My 2 eldest nieces and one of my nephews were so long when they were born they never fitted in newborn sizes and had to go straight into 0-3 months. The other niece and nephew were smaller, but both of their Dads are short, while DH is reasonably tall (as am I). I was an average sized baby, just short of 8lbs, and DH was a premmie, so not sure what his full term weight would have been to try and judge (if that's even relevant!)

We've got slightly more new baby clothes than 0-3 because a lot is second hand but I wanted to buy some new too. We have 6 new vests and about 8 sleep suits I think (tries hard to remember as not counted them and not at home at the moment). I won't buy any more clothes unless I find something particularly amazing for his first photos as not sure how big he'll be and don't want to waste money on things he won't wear. Also with there only being summery stuff in the shops I wanted to wait until the winter ranges come in.

Snowy, you too? You're near me aren't you, are you at St Mary's for some appointments and community led the rest? I'm going to ask my mw at the 25 week appointment when I was supposed to get my first pack (and about my Mat1B form and my free medical form thingy and all sorts I think I've missed out on!).

A lot of the things we have were given to us (either 2nd hand or new). The only things we've bought are vests (mix 2nd hand and new) and sleepsuits. We probably have too many but as we've not spent much in them I don't mind.

I'm still snuffly this morning but not too bad. Got our hospital tour this evening which I'm looking forward too.

morning ladies. how are you all?

i am working from home and clearly not started working as such! lol

everyone has so many varied bpm on their heartbeats. isnt 130 low? my brothers are coming round soon as today its one of our functions where we tie a coloured thread around our brothers' wrists so they protect their sisters forever and ever. i get money in exchange. hehe. no its not for that. I get to see my nieces as brother will bring them! yay!! no more work for me when they come.

am trying to wake DH up too to start working but he is not waking up! caught him watching midwives last night. think that fayre we went to last night got him thinking a bit. lol. i was curious about the birth centre, its so fascinating. when i went downstairs to check where he is, he said the program had just finished and how some poor women suffered. i wanted to see it but maybe a good thing i didnt.

hope everyone is ok. yay sun!!

how do you all use up vouchers? dont even have any! weird! havent bought anything yet. from Monday i am starting! Aida not long now...3 days for me and 5 for you! woo hoo!

No Rups, 130 is just fine. The old story was 120-140 was one gender, 140-160 the other, so normal range was 120-160.
