morning all. how are you all?

hope you are ok ikkle and everyone else waiting for sweeps and appointments too. being on here has taught me a lot, especially about the different types of things to do when in labour or when late. gosh. i only thought before it was either giving birth naturally or c-section. how silly of me!

thanks mrs excited. i am looking forward to finally seeing the midwife today. its at 245 and i am trying to work from home. yesterday was a disaste as i spent it mainly online on here, and facebook and twitter. hehe. have to do my competencies and evaluations for work today so better start those. boring.

hope you are all ok. xx

    Hi girls,

Woke up today feeling awful : ( dont know if its the pregnancy or im coming down with something. Although every night this week i have been going to bed between 8-9pm i am SO tiered i could sleep right here at my desk. I have that horrible achey feeling in my legs that i cant shift and i feel like iv slept funny where the rest of my body mainly shoulders etc ache. My tummy feels weird today, when i take a deep breath it feels all tight and weird a dull pain at the top of my tummy. Just feels weird. Anyone else felt like this? I know we are all different just wondering if it sounds like a pregnancy related thing or if im coming down with something. Feel very lightheaded and fuzzy everything i do have to do at a snails pace...and im only 14 weeks................HELP!!! xxx

    Morning All,

ikkle glad your feeling better today, it must have been quite scary for OH i know mine would have paniked and had me go to the maternity triage.

vic rich glad you persevered with getting someone to see you, perhaps you will get a bit more support now that they have booked you in for a scan. Hope all goes well next wk

Jenjenf21 I felt exactly like that a couple of wks ago although this was at 30ish wks, It turned out I was just having an off day and all was fine but they did ask me to go into maternity triage where they gave me a full check up just to make sure. Give your duty mw a ring at the hospital if yours isnt available they will ask a few Q's then advise you on what to do.

well have started tidying the house and cleaning up for the wkend, all the pets have had a clean and claws cut ect allready this morning.
I plan on going to the next sale tomorrow, never normally bother but want to see if we can get some nice newborn bits particulary packs of vest and sleepsuits.

going to do a bit more housework now,

Have a lovely wkend everyone, Hugs to anyone in need and Labour vibes to anyone who wants them : )

Aaaarrgh! Today we hit week 39 so in 1 week we hit due date and my dad turns 60!! Apparently we "don't discuss" that day!! He is just in denile lol!

We've taken to 'project get baby out' by eating fresh raspberries with every meal and drinking raspberry tea!! Considering having a curry this weekend, hubby looking forward to some light entertainment if you get my meaning... lol! We are keen to have bubba in the birthing centre instead of the normal maternity ward.

1 week as well, I feel like a time bomb! DH is so unsettled, knows he's got 3 weeks leave coming up but can't plan anything, driving him mad, my nickname for him is Mr Clipboard because he likes everything planned and on schedule. :rotfl:

Do raspberries do anything? I thought it was just the raspberry leaf tea?

Good luck for Monday Rebekah, you always threatened to be a queue jumper! Guess I've still got a few days to encourage him out though, although he seems quite happy in there.

Student. Good luc with nurseries I viewed a lot before deciding on tenone my daughter is in now and has been there for two years now. If u have any questions about any you can pm me

Well it's been a bit of an eventful morning. Heading out door to Uni placement start walking down stairs and my four year old who was walking in front slipped and tumbled down the whole flight. Queue instant panic - big bruise on her neck ad shoulder where she bounced :( so after a morning in a and e we are home. I have to keep an eye for concussion and any added pain. I tell you I have never felt so scared in my life - dizzy nauseous shaky. I had to get a glucose drink at hospital and baby is starting to feel the effects of it lol.

Hope everyone has a good day. I'm on for a long one I think!
love you lots like jelly tots :o

Rups don't worry about the housework too much at your stage - I barely had the energy to stay awake, let alone clean - tbh the energy to clean etc only really returned around 24 weeks for me and even then I have had days where I've just felt really tired again. Your baby is doing a lot of growing still and your body is also still doing things for it such as processing it's urine etc. Your hormones will also still be quite high which leads to the tiredness.

Hugs for rj - that fall sounds scary! Hope you're all ok now and little one isn't too sore.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Hi all. Sorry so many people are feeling rough or having a stressful day.

My inlaws are down for the weekend and gave me a gift - how sweet I thought. They said they were looking at lots of cute baby clothes but decided to get something just for me instead. It was stretch mark cream! How errm....thoughtful? Bit personal maybe? I'm such an ungrateful cow.

ETA - I am secretly pleased I don't actually need it yet (29 weeks tomorrow)

Oh RJH so glad your littley is ok, must have been quite a fright for you to see. xx

JenJen I had a day where I felt like I was extremely hungover and ill but it was just a bad day, if you feel worse give your midwife a ring though x

Rups, I do it because I have to. I'm quite lucky in that if I ring my nan (she's 68 and looks in her 40s btw before anyone imagines an old frail lady) she would come and help out, she offered to vac my stairs for me but I don't like to take advantage so tend to tell her to just come for a cuppa or I go to hers. You could try do the FlyLady challenge on here? Thats what I do. You set a room a day and there are 3 levels to achieve. Level 1 is basic cleaning level 3 is full on intense cleaning. Helps to keep on top of things I find.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
