Mothercare in the Whitgift definitely hasn't closed down Rups, I don't know who told you that? It's down the far end, near the Whitgift entrance to Allders.
There's also an enormous one at Valley Park, next to the tram stop you get off at for Ikea.0 -

Is there a liner that goes inside the nappy that is disposable? OH is not keen on the idea of re-usables but I suspect thats because neither of us understand how they work. I think he has visions of poopy nappies going round the washing machine. Any advice would be appreciated
You can drown in advice on reusable nappies on the internet!
There are all sorts of different types and brands. Generally the idea is that you can use a re-usable liner or a flushable liner, with the flushables the poo should all get caught on the liner and you flush the whole thing away, with the re-usable liner you either shake the poo off or hold one end while flushing the loo to get most of it off and then wash it. Not yet decided what I'm doing liner-wise but have bought the reusable nappies and wraps. Interestingly its apparently illegal to throw away a poo-nappy (tell that to most parents!) as it's human excrement and there are disease issues. Can't remember where I found that snippet though!
MissMonkeyMoo we had a dark brown paint in a bathroom in a flat we rented a few years back which worked really well actually, the walls were tiled white till halfway up and then this chocolate brown colour the rest of the way. There was also a HUGE mirror though above the bath which helped. Not something I'd have done if I'd chosen the decor, but seeing how it looked it was quite nice. Floor to ceiling brown in a living room on all walls though would probably be a bit much!
JenJen - yip, sounds about right for 14 weeks - that's when you really start to stretch your bumpAs for the leg thing, I notice when I cycle that my thighs have seriously gone to jelly so guess that's normal too. For lightheaded/fuzzy check if you don't have low blood pressure (if you do nibble something salty) and for the tiredness mine has gone now so hopefully yours is on its way out!
To those who are looking at nurserys already, how soon do you need to book?? :eek:0 -
Rebekah. Trust me when u can bend over and tie your laces and lift your legs and walk up stairs without being breathless u will not miss your bump lol. It is odd knowing u carried a little person and seeing their newborn movements and knowing that's what they were doing inside u.
However there is that awkward moment when u see pictures of yourself post baby and your hand is rubbing your tummy lol!!
You are so lucky you are going to meet your little girl on Monday!!love you lots like jelly tots0 -
off to see midwife shortly.
yay. see you when back. x

Acupressure? Is that to bring on labour? Let me know where they are as I'm now 7 days over!! Sweep in the morning  hope it works...
elj - youtube clip and more detailed pdf for you
Student_Mrs - the nurseries we asked said they will use whatever nappies we provide.
Rebekah - I was saying the same to my DH yesterday. I'm going to miss my bump too
Had my 40+1 MW appointment. Got offered a sweep and accepted. Not nice. Thanks to whoever said to breathe through it - it did seem to work although I still feel quite sore down there. MW thinks I shouldn't wait too long as my cervix is soft, shortened to 1cm and 2-3cm dilated :j0 -
Aww Rebekah, its soo exciting that you get to meet your lil girl on monday. Funnily enough I feel the opposite, I am soo excited to get my body back. Have enjoyed being pregnant but now feel im ready to be able to do more exercise, bend, enjoy gardening etc. I'm finding being at home and not doing much really dull. That side of it is not for me at all.
