Afternoon all!
Just trying to catch up with all the gossip
Elj good luck for your sweep
Rups and StudentMrs hope you get on ok at the midwife this afternoon
Vic rich glad you got to talk to someone nice and understandingseems like they're going to look after you. You got antibiotics for the urine infection? Pain is a nightmare to cope with, especially as you said you find it hard to get about. It kinda triggers off other sad feelings
big hugs you get to feel some relief soon
MMM I was thinking did I recommend a book? Lol! I also ordered it got it for 1p and £2.80 p&p on amazon. Apparently it got dispatched yday so hope it's here tomorrow
What room does Oh want dark brown? Maybe have one wall with a lighter colour? Try not to get worked up, easier said than done I know as I'm often getting worked up with the state of this place
Chrissy hope your last day at work goes well
SM what a pain! Especially as you got all the way there. If I get to town tomorrow I'll check out Primark for nighties too.
MrsE glad your antenatal class went well. We start ours on Tuesday  I think the penny may drop we're ling to actually have a real life baby! Try and do some relaxing before your baby comes.
RJH hope your little girl is ok. Can imagine it was a shock for you both. Bet bubba was happy with the sugar tho
kitten hope your face is ok today.
Jenjen hope you feel better soon. I remember feeling very tired at that stage. Hope it's just an off day and you can relax over the weekend.
Candy cane lol at the cream. I bet they thought they were being thoughtful. I'm envious you don't need it though
Savage glad your scan went well. Did you find out what team you're on?
Rebekah I don't think you're mad. Was only thinking in the early hours of this morning whilst stroking bump that I'll miss it. Although I'll be sitting there with a baby at these odd hours soon, I'll miss the random kicks etc. a couple of my rl friends have said the same. Like RJH said I'm looking forward to putting on shoes and walking normally again though.
Silly moo sounds like things might start soon
Hope I've not missed anyone. I read on my phone and type on my iPad so I don't forget people.
I'm determined not to have a nap this afternoon in the hope that I have an early night and actually get up before midday! Have had a very sore couple of days. Was planning to get to the post office today and do lots of stuff but no way! I'm going to finish a few cards in the craft room. A nice sit down job. Not feeling very creative so hopefully I'll browse a few crafty magazines and get the creative juices going.
Sending big labour vibes and hugs to those that need them. Hope everyone has a good afternoon xxxxxx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Nope, still on Team Surprise!0

Savage that's what I plan to suggest to him - on the (very) long feature wall we could paint the bottom 1/3 or 1/2 the dark brown colour and then a lighter brown colour on top. The colour itself is really nice, I just think all the walls in this colour will be overpowering! he has got his own way on lots of other stuff so I think if anyone needs to compromise on this one it's him! Lol.
LMM yep, that's the same deal I got on the book! Hoping it will be there when I get home today, although i really have no time to read it at present! had a quick look at the sample pages on amazon and it looks good. if it helps save a few pounds here and there then it's worth the £2.810 -
Oh, forgot to say - hubby felt baby move yesterday too!0

Baby been a bit quieter today don't know if it's just the shock. Is it ten kicks every hour u meant to feel or just twice a day?love you lots like jelly tots0

rj I think you're meant to count the kicks for an hour in the morning and then an hour in the evening (ideally when you're lying down or resting)- there should be 10 kicks in each hour from around 28 weeks onwards.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Just a very quick post to send some labour vibes and good luck with c-sections. I've been following the thread on the phone but can't seem to remember much. sorry!
Welcome to the newbies! If any other lurkers would like to join, please feel free to do so (especially if you're due before me!!).
No news on the baby front here. DH and I are going shopping on Sunday for baby bits. Not sure what we're buying yet though. I dont want to buy anything that someone could potentially buy us so I'd probably go for storage or something like that but I have the feeling DH wants to buy some cute things.
Oh! I gave my notice yesterday. Another 4 days work and I'll be 'free', well free to then study and catch up with uni work. Have a lovely weekend!:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
I have to say I won't miss my bump. Not being able to bend down and getting out of breath among other reasons! I am due a week today and I really don't want to go overdue. Apart from some Braxton Hicks/crampy feelings in the last few days nothing has changed. I am just really keen to meet the baby especially as have been off work for nearly 3 weeks so far! It's silly to get worked up but I am wishing more and more that baby would come soon. I do have a midwife appointment booked in for 39+4 and 40+4 so I guess I might have a sweep at the second appointment if nothing's happened?
I had a dream last night that I woke up and the baby was just there, already born – no contractions, labour or anything, ha! But he was still attached to me by the cord so I had to go in to get it cut (awkward!) and they stretched it right across the room (!) then my mum started taking over the role of the midwife and giving me injections. I turned to the midwife and said 'Oh no, this is a dream isn't it? I'll still have to go through labour when I wake up'! Guess I knew it was a dream as my husband was nowhere in sight and mum was there. In reality husband will be there and mum not there! I keep having these weird dreams ... David Cameron was in the previous one dancing with me. I wonder if they'll stop after I've had the baby? :rotfl:
Re. baby changing I feel like spending £50/£60 on a specific unit is a bit of a rip off. I was just planning to use a table surface. Does that seem ok?
Finally re. kicks my baby has been kicking much less in the daytime, in fact hardly ever, but has always been more active at night. I'm not really worried as he has hardly any room now to move, so assume it's normal.0 -
My wee man is normally mad all the time. Will see if he wakes up tonight. He is moving a but just not as much as usual.
oh is at work anyway so would have to wait on him coming home if I wanted to do anything.
love you lots like jelly tots0 -
Hi,
Just popping on to ask a quick question.
I think this is the fourth day in a row (that I've noticed) at around this time 3-4 that I've felt suddenly very hot and shaky. Taken my temp now and it's 37.8. Yday was 37.4. My mum suggested low blood sugar, but it's happening whether I've eaten recently or not. Just wondered if anyone else had these funny episodes? Have been going for a lie down past few days but I'm determined not to nap today.:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
