Huge congratulations Dida! I love the name Rosa, its absolutely gorgeous.

I love some of the Irish names and we were considering an Irish name if we were having a girl, only I wanted it to start with a C or K (I'm C, eldest is C and youngest is K) But Wriggler is a boy so that put an end to that!

I had physio this morning, looks like my tummy muscles have split on top of everything else - fantastic!

At my last appointment (25 weeks) writing a birth plan vaguely came up but only in a passing way as it wasn't my usual midwife, so she was kind of ticking a list off and mentioned my usual midwife would discuss it next time (28 weeks)

I'm not doing one though. If it wasn't my first I MIGHT have considered it but since I have no idea what labour is like I just don't want to or see the point. The only thing I do know is that I'd like to go to the birthing centre.

When do the delivery midwives actually see the birth plan? Does it just go in your pink notes and they read it when you go in and your labour has started?

My birthplan consists of constant monitoring and all the drugs. Seems to get the point across everything else can and has changed and I have been able to get my point across with regards to OH cutting the cord etc in the room when it happens.

I really just want someone to tell me my options with regards to if I choose a waterbirth what pain relief can I have etc. I know it'll be covered at the anti-natal classes but I was hoping for a more 1 on 1 chat.

Told my boss that I have a few appointments next Thursday so can I take it as a holiday and he told me to take it as medical leave (paid). I just didn't mention that 2 of the 3 appointments are for my hair and nails :D

You are better off drilling it into your birthing partner head and getting them to speak for you when you are unable to do it yourself. Here you are only given gas and air in the pool, if you want more.. out you get..

I have all 10 lots of my antenatal notes no one has ever even asked to see them when I have gone in to have mine.

Luciferswench - my diet hasn't been the best either. I'm not eating for the sake of eating but when I am hungry I always want Mcdonalds or some other crap! I will have salads and healthier food but in the first trimester when I had crippling tiredness/sickness I was terrible for wanting salty things constantly. Actually though thinking back I did eat a ton of lemons and fruit somewhere between about 10 weeks and 16 weeks as it's all I craved so I'm very up and down.

At the moment it's McDonalds, kiwi fruits and fruit flan!

Ante natal classes! I've just thought of that! Totally forgot to book in and now I bet I'm too late. Do I really want to go anyway?! Who else is going to them?

We're going to go to NCT classes, mainly because we're moving to a new area and everyone that's spoken to me about them is still friends with couples they met there.

I've been craving fruit and gone off chocolate. I'm aghast at the chocolate as I eat 100's of grams a week of the stuff before. Also, I appear to wake up at 6:30am each morning, which is a new one on me too.

Hi ladies, just popping over from the 12-24 week thread to ask if anyone has any tips on coping with SPD/Pelvic pain? The only advice the midwife would give was 'keep your legs together and take paracetamol'. Has anyone tried any exercises etc that have helped or should I just grin and bear it?

Same here - we are doing nct ones for the social side and because we wanted evening classes so OH could attend where possible.

I've been waking at 5:30 for weeks now - you might need to get used to it  when I return to work next week it will come in handy :)

On a very important topic: maternity knickers: don't bother... Just get a pack of 3 non vpl primark knickers - they stretch over bump and were brilliant pre-baby too!

On a second important note... Where can I buy maternity work clothes? I won't wear black trousers so my options are limited to dresses. Any ideas? Also skin coloured tights - has anyone found these? I need to power dress for 6 weeks and am really struggling!
