YEY. congratluations Dida. I bet you're so glad she wasn't huge being 14 days over :D and that she's here now. :) hope you're feeling OK.

How many weeks are you now PP? Can't be much longer to wait for you. When's you're due date meant to be?

I read about Betty this morning and its so horrible. :( she was my due date buddy as well which makes it worse and makes me realise I'm so lucky even though I moan all the time.

10 weeks left by dates.. anytime between now and 7 weeks left in reality.. DS3 arrived in 4 days (30+3).. Most likely 4 or 5 weeks though.

I was just thinking yesterday I have had a bag packed by now with the 5 small pinks, I have got as far as washing the hand-me-down stuff since I found a box in the loft and it needed washing.. but the rest is stuffed in a drawer in its packets still.. I just got the basket back from DD1 on Friday and while she has washed everything I am buying a new mattress as the cover is covered in dog hair..

Betty's news is devastating.. makes you count every single one of those blessings doesn't it :(

Hi everyone, I think I've got this quoting thing right...
We're expecting our first on 1st Jan 2014, although I think the hospital have the dates wrong and baby is due about a weekish later. I've so far been really lucky with morning sickness and not been physically sick, although I do seem to just want to sleep aaaalll the time.
I've got consultant-led care as I had a total thyroidectomy a few years ago for thyroid cancer. My GP have been a bit rubbish but I'm now also being seen by the antenatal thyroid specialist as well as the consultant-led care, so the hospital are looking after me.
The other half is 36 and I'm 26, he didn't plan it but I may have just decided it was the right time ;) We're moving house at the end of July from Cardiff to Bristol, and at 9 weeks we cycled 150 miles around Normandie (I hate exercise but it was a nice holiday).
Starting to write lists of things we need, mostly second-hand and fleabay I think. Although I am completely clueless when it comes to pushchairs, I've looked at reviews for hours and no idea still :)

We're going to find out the sex but not let on so we can surprise everyone.

Feeling fed up today, a work colleague had her baby on Saturday and she wasn't due for another 4 weeks - feel so jealous!

I know that sounds awful but I just feel like I've had enough now, sick of being stuck at home and not sleeping and just :(

Keep getting a pain between my legs when I stand up, its only when I first get up and start walking then it goes - is that normal?

We've done the same - it's lovely having a little secret from everyone but very hard not to let it slip! Welcome and congrats :)

    Yay congratulations Dida!

    Morning everyone.

Huge congrats to Dida & my heart goes out to Betty as well, can't imagine what she's going through.

Had my anti-D this morning which went about as well as an injection can. Anyone elses arm swollen up loads after the Whooping Cough vac? I got it last Monday and my arm has got progressively more red since - the midwife didn't seem fussed about it this morning through so I'll just have to hope it goes down.

Got another appointment with my GP tonight to demand they refer me to someone about my hyperhidrosis (sweaty-ness, basically!). I'm not sure if it's got worse in general or got worse 'cause I'm pregnant but I can't live like this and especially not with a baby. I'll have to change her clothes more 'cause I've sweated through them than she's been sick on them at this rate (TMI anyone? :rotfl: )

Yeah, my arm was fine for 2 days after then swelled up bright red and I had a lump too for about a week after, was told this was normal and nothing bad has happened from it, it was just hard to sleep as I couldn't lie on that arm!

Thanks Nikki - put my mind at rest a little bit :) It's not sore so I'm not all that fussed but I just thought it was a bit odd that it was getting more red as the week went on!

Bought a load of stuff in Mothercare at the weekend - just basics to go in my hospital bag but it was lovely to go 'round picking stuff up! Going to do a wishlist on the website as well other stuff we need.

People keep asking us about names and I feel rubbish saying "Nah we don't really have any yet" when really I just don't want to discuss them!

I've been saying that since people found out I was pregnant and now the only people that know the ideas we have for names are our parents. I didn't want to tell people and have them pull a face which would put me off or dishearten me!
