Congratulations Dida! Beautiful name too. Hope they let you home soon.

I was feeling really down again this morning and then I read Betty's update on 12-24 weeks, got very angry about the 24 week rule at most hospitals and realised I'm very lucky to have my awkward little girl still in there at 39 weeks even if she is crushing my pelvis to the point I can't actually walk further than bed to bathroom. So today, I'm giving into being useless and waiting for my midwife appointment tomorrow and hope that she can do a sweep to move me along a bit more

Welcome cleo!! Sounds like you've been through a lot to get to this point. I don't have epilepsy, but have heart condition so get a bit of extra monitoring, I think there are a few on here that do, its certainly good support! Your consultants should go through what drugs you can/cant have and alternatives, thats what I've had happen, although last time they didn't read my notes as labour was very quick even though induced so best that you and your birthing partner know it all anyway so you can tell them verbally if necessary.
  • Big congrats on the birth of little rosa dida! Beautiful name :-) hope you have a speedy recovery and can leave hospital soon xxx

A lot of hospitals have the 24 week resus rule BUT.. if a baby at 23 weeks makes efforts to breathe most will help it.. sadly babies born at 23 weeks have an 8% chance of survival and only 1 of those will not have long term disabilities. So it isn't hard set in stone rules more a guideline.

I am so incredibly tired.. and in pain and my kidneys and UTI are fit to murder me again.. I was in kidney failure by the time the last 2 arrived so we aren't expecting anything great this time!

Congrats Dida.. she wasn't that huge for her extra cooking!! :D Quite cute thinking mine is currently about 3lb :D

YEY. congratluations Dida. I bet you're so glad she wasn't huge being 14 days over :D and that she's here now. :) hope you're feeling OK.

How many weeks are you now PP? Can't be much longer to wait for you. When's you're due date meant to be?

I read about Betty this morning and its so horrible. :( she was my due date buddy as well which makes it worse and makes me realise I'm so lucky even though I moan all the time.

EDIT: I've updated the list above. Welcome cleofish :)
