Well done toothfairy!
Any luck with that bouncing Dida?!
35+2
Haha! No - not yet - but driven 40 miles to go on a massive shopping trip and out to Wagamamas for a meal - decided to do a "mrsj28" date afternoon!
Decided I would take the mw's advice and take time to chill before hospital beckons and you never know.....had a lovely time getting extra Boots points - but left my Advantage card in one of their Advantage Point machines - luckily it was still there when OH went to retrieve it - and I now have over £65 on it!!! Baby brain!:o
TMI - but got even more gunk since the second sweep - been showing the OH....said he could "share" the "love" that he caused!!!!:rotfl:
41+5 :eek:0 -
Lol bet OH was overjoyed you showing him your junk dida ha I keep asking OH if he will look at my swollen down below bits he said he'll pass haha
Might have to try the lemon and raspberry cake, not a big fan of raspberry's but it does sound so good lol xx***** on the road to debt freedom *****

Erm....yes - the OH said that he would now enjoy his chocolates even more (we bought a few chocs with gunky fillings from Hotel Chocolat as a treat!) - I did get an extra one - that's probably why:p
Try the lemon cake with blackberries or blueberries if you're not keen on raspberries - they both go well with lemon! Warning though - its seriously addictive (I made mine with Everyday Lemon Curd from Tescos at 22p - so don't buy expensive lemon curd - cheap works just as well!).0 -
:rotfl::rotfl: at you showing your OH! Bet he loved it, mine probably would actually, he likes to get all involved he stayed down the business end the whole time with ds and is really looking forward to it this time too  I'm fine up my end on my own, ha ha!
Well thats £65 worth of spoiling yourself or christmas pressies, on 3 for 2s!
Bella, def worth trying absolutely lovely only problem is it doesn't last long0 -
Oooooo sounds yummy I've got a thing about seeds in fruit that puts me off lol I'm rather fussy ha I'm sure someone said they'd used raspberry jam and it was nice might try swirling a bit of that in (seedless jam of course) x***** on the road to debt freedom *****

I think someone was going to try it, can't remember if they said how it went. Let us know! My Dh wouldnt try it because of the pips, so can make him a special pipless one if it works, to lazy to try myself, ha ha!0

thanks for sharing your story Courgette. I'm still hoping that I have baby at 38/39 weeks so I can finish work earlier and be pregnant for less time. At least I know not to panic if I'm a week or so late. Apparently it's common for first time mums to go over their due date or so I've heard. I hadn't even heard of sweeps until a few posts ago!
Dida I'm glad you're sharing the ickiness. I'm trying to get OH to suffer too. He's being a bit more understanding and noticing I'm short of breath more.0 -
Dida - sorry for late response. There was no talk of induction/sweeps etc at 40+17 with dd1 because at my 12wk scan they said baby was too small to be my dates however hubby works abroad so knew my dates were right! Lol. At 20wk scan they tried to push them back a further 3 weeks - I had to demand they didn't change my dates again as the new date meant I had found out I was pregnant a few weeks before I had gotten pregnant! When dd1 did decide to come the mw said she was quite overdue plus baby's skin was massively peeling all over. I didn't mind being overdue as I had a tiny bump and other than heartburn, no other issues whatsoever but it did worry me that I may be allowed to go two weeks over the extra 17 days they had added to my due date. This is my fifth pregnancy - all my babies are small early on.
Good luck Dida & mrsj28 and anyone else over or due very soon. I'm so excited for you all. Enjoy! XxDD1 June 1997

Quick update - sweep may have worked some magic....mrsj28 you might soon be top of the list.....:D! (I did combine sweep with a bath containing evening primrose oil, bounced on my ball, chilled out shopping expedition, long drive and also had a bit of spice at Wagamamas!).
I think my waters partially went at 1.30am (dripping no gush!) - no contractions but phoned hospital - was told to go back to bed and call them in the morning as I wasn't having any contractions.
Couldn't sleep so just lied there....period-type pains started around 2am until around 6am so I took a couple of paracetamol and they have gone just about - no more water either.
So going to call hospital a bit later and see what they say!
My OH has already moved our house around to accommodate the birthing pool :rotfl:(think he's a bit worried about not being able to fill it in time!!!) but I think they might get me in to check me out if I don't have any more contractions - so I am not letting him blow it up yet!!!!!:p
Thanks for all your comments - they have really helped in putting my mind at ease - the pressure comes from all directions as soon as you go over-due!:o
Hope you all have a happy Sunday!

Update: Thank you for your comments again - I feel a farce now - now absolutely nothing apart from a dull ache! Just cleaned the bathroom in the hope of it bringing something on....! Going to call hospital at 10 and see what they say - I don't know which hospital to call though - one is responsible for homebirths and the other for emergencies (and this confused them last night!!!) - I am neither at the moment!!!! x0 -
Oh Dida, that is exciting news! Update us if/when you can! Will be keeping everything crossed for you that this is it! Completely agree about the pressure, I have refused to tell nearly anyone my due date this time because of all the constant phonecalls and messages last time, I doesn't help just gets you more frustrated, so god help anyone who does it this time if I go over, much more hormonal this time!0
