I'm bridesmaid for my baby sister at the beginning of may so that will be my goal for losing weight.

LMM, a stone and a bit is good going. I last weighed myself at 29 weeks and I'd put on nearly 2 stone! and that was only from 13 weeks
I've decided not to worry about it anymore until after baby is here.
xx
Well I wasn't going to weigh myself, but a few people were talking about it so I thought I'd be nosey. Normally I look at cake and gain weight lol. I wouldn't have been worried, well would have tried not to worry anyway whatever it said. Just eating what I fancy and obviously not moving about much so I was surprised it wasn't more. There's not much point worrying about my weight even after bubs comes cos I've not enough discipline or brain cells to follow a diet. I'm the girl who gave up chocolate for lent and on day one was half way through a pack of chocolate hobnobs before I remembered!
Saying that, just spent the last hour putting away all the tins and bottle from ydays tesco order. I'm wrecked, who needs a gym? Ice lolly time here! Xx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Afternoon all,
Went out this morning to the shops, my feet swelled so much that my flip flops snapped in the middle of town. Very embarrassing! Luckily I had just been to Primark and got some wide fitting ballet pumps in a bigger size so could put them on.
Went to New Look and got 2 maternity maxi dresses in the sale, 1 for £9, a purpley print and the other was the plain purple 1 that I think some of you have (also comes in blue) got that for £8 so was chuffed. Both were abot 3 ft too long though so stopped at my grans and left them with her to turn up!
Just had a nap while hubby washes my car. Wish I was on maternnity leave now! Still, only 2 weeks to go.
Am looking again at nappy bins. For those that have proper ones Tommee Tippee, Angelcare etc can you use them just as a normal bin with a carrier in or do you have to have to cartridges?0 -
Bellola I've got the Tommee tippee bin. You can use a normal bag but then it's just like a normal bin. I got cartridges in Mothercare 3 for 2 a while back mist worth shopping around and looking on amazon or even eBay. They come in a box of three, but sometimes on eBay people are selling odd cartridges cheap xx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Breast Cancer Survivor - i am sorry to hear about your difficult situation. please ask your family for help, i am sure they would be willing to look after your little boy.
Robyn - yay! hopefully the contractions have started
AMC - i think you got some good info from sexymouse. i am totally against induction but sometimes it is necessary. definately talk things through with a doctor or midwife. when you say you are booked in for induction at 40+12 is that the oxytocin drip? could they not try the pessary/gel option before that - as its less invasive.
i have read that people who are induced with oxytocin have a 50% chance of a C section.
re c section and breastfeeding - obviously things arent going to be as natural but my sister had two emergency c sections with both of her boys and breastfed them both for over 6 months.
my mum got a text in the middle of the night and thought it was news from me about giving birth lol it was just someone trying to sell her something.
i have had a very productive day - went out for a 30 min walk first thing before it got too hot, came back had shower, did a bit of pampering. then thoroughly cleaned the living room, even washed the curtains! haha
it is hot, supposed to cool down a bit tomorrow, thank god!
the boldies have gone quiet, maybe babies have arrived!!

Midwife has been, she was actually really helpful.
Baby girl is as far down as she can be and she said it really could be any time before labour starts. She wasn't too concerned about y feet swelling because of the weather, so all good.0 -
Had an email from Sainsburys Baby Club today 'congratulations you are 6 months pregnant' er nope i'm not... i'm due in November and only 23+4 today!:jBaby Boy born December 20120

Had a long weekend away with very limited internet so not had a chance to post. I've just managed to catch up with the thread but can't remember everything I wanted to say so apologies for missing lots.
Congrats to Rebekah and elj. Good luck to Robyn and the other boldies. I'm nowhere near ready to keep moving up the list though so can we all not have your babies just yet please?!
Fluff - thanks to all your help and advice. Feel free to post whenever you fancy and we'll see you in the next thread
Re: weight. I'm not sure we can compare as we all seem so different. I'm told I look very neat for 27+5. Still, I've put on a stone since I found out I was pregnant and most of it has been in the past few weeks. Up until week 23/4, people could have thought I'd just had one too many pies whereas now it's definitely a bump.
AFM, not much going on. I finished work last week and now I have to do as much uni work as I can before bubba shows up. The more I do now, the less I have to do later when I'll be tired and sleep deprived all the time.
I'm finding hard to walk long distances nowI can manage taking the dog for a 30 min walk and can probably push it for a bit longer but would rather not risk it so I'm going to start swimming. I've not been swimming in ages so we'll see how that goes. I need to buy a tankini though so any suggestions would be welcome. I'm not keen on a swimsuit as I'd imagine it'd be a nightmare to undress when it's wet. My mobility is shocking for someone who's so 'neat' lol
