Congratulations niknok, scary birth story but it sounds like the hospital were great.
Claree - I'd really like my baby to come between 38-40 weeks rather than go over, as I'm sure my dates are wrong and I get very stressed so think labour will be harder if I go over.0 -

Just another "I'm terrified about..." that I've been stressing about this weekend. My veins are really, really awful - it usually takes 3 or 4 attempts and an "expert" to find a vein. What if something happens and they have to put a drip in quickly and they can't find a vein?
Is that stupid? My Debt Free Diary

Congratulations niknok!
I'm another hoping this baby puts in an appearance before my due date. Any time from next week onwards would be just fine by me
It's not stupid to be scared, Claree, but if you're at the point of needing a drip then you'll be in hospital so there should be plenty of experts on hand if you need them. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Congratulations niknok!
I know at the end of pregnancy everyone is tired and fed up but at the moment im only 24 weeks and for the past theee days ive struggled to get out of bed im just so tired! When did all u ladies who are further on start feeling tired again? I'm sure i shouldnt be feeling this run down, I have been wondering if maybe my iron levels are low?? I have an appointment on the 30th with the m/w so i can ask her then but just wondered how everyone else felt at this stage xStill here..... but working on that!0 -

Congratulations Niknok! It's so lovely to hear a positive story about your midwives and doctors. They get a lot of stick for doing a very hard job. Enjoy baby Millie

Claree - your blood vessels swell during pregnancy because of all the extra blood, so unless you're dehydrated, then most medical people say that pregnant ladies are some of the easiest to get a line into.
Littleskintdragon - I've had sickness through my pregnancy so felt tired all the way through but generally energy levels peak in the second trimester so it's definitely worth a blood and urine test (UTIs can leave you very tired too).0 -
Thanks sparkles, it seems to have come from nowhere i felt fine one day and totally rubbish the next. Will give mw a ring x
Edit: rung mw told me to try pregnancare which i was taking first trimester but was convinced it was making me ill. Will give it a try though.Still here..... but working on that!0 -

you know, my veins are troublesome as well. They always find it hard to take blood from me but, towards the end, everything changes. I just feel like, due to the swelling, the Michelin Man's twin sister!
