I am so envious of you two moving into your new homes, mine is still a few weeks off being ready i think :( tho OH is working like mad on it so can't say anything.
Ihatedida-whats it like?? Smeg?what colour?Sounds right up my street.

Hey dippy - you wouldn't be jealous if you saw the mess that we are moving into! Its still not finished, boxes and dust everywhere, we're trying to cram 4 bed furniture into a 2 bed (!) - although now I have my new fridge and a chandelier in my kitchen/diner - I can just about cope! (chandelier is cover in dust and grime and I will have to spend hours cleaning it - but hey....!)

We were going to buy a Smeg as I do love them - but Gorenje offer a free 5 year guarantee and are cheaper - so we opted for this: http://www.appliancist.com/gorenje-retro-chic-collection-bordeaux.jpg - and I have totally fallen in love!:rotfl:

Missymoo - we are now on our 3rd skip! Feels like we almost live in one!

Omg ihatedida, 3 skips?! Mind you I'm sure I could fill them, mostly with OH's stuff might I add!

Am in bed watching tv with Roo, but going to have to get up soon as need a shower and need to clean up before Health Visitor comes, oh and could also do with going to the post office. And to tesco this afternoon, am hoping the extra walking will get things going. Honestly thought something was happening yesterday, was just so uncomfortable!

Did some work on my assignment last night but have soooo much left to do! Well, about 2998 words lol.

Really looking forward to the Moses basket coming today, can't wait to get all the bits washed and ready.

I think I'll need a 4th skip for that lot!!!:D Wish I could find the motivation to wash baby stuff (I am hoping urgency kicks in soon!)...I have around 30 reuseable nappies to wash- goodness what I will be like when baby is here - I will have to wash them every other day and I can't cope with just one wash at the moment!

I have a moses basket - bought a grabbit offer a while back - £16 Lollipop Lane one - its blue and I am having a girl....hoping she won't mind in true MSE style!!:) Anyone know whether its best to get a rocking or non-rocking stand? I am thinking of second hand ebay purchase but don't know which is best to get?

It depends hun, some people say don't rock your baby to sleep as they expect it and can't sleep without it. But we had a rocking crib and that was great in the night for soothing Roo back to sleep and he didn't expect it all the time. We've bought a fixed stand with this basket as its going in the lounge as I would worry roo would knock a rocking one flying! Being a rather boisterous boy!

We have a rocking stand but only because the moses basket we were given came with one, otherwise I wouldn't have. If baby gets used to it then she'll never settle in her cot. I've seen so many people have swinging cribs and then unsettled little ones once they change to a cot so not taking the risk!

I've FINALLY finished my !&%* (insert inappropriate word here) dissertation so getting rid of that thing once I'm dressed. Then off to midwife - so that'll be a waste of 15 minutes. Then lunch with a couple of friends which I am looking forward to :)

    Morning everyone

    Hope you're OK MV

Good to see you back, mogwai :) Hope the house move goes well. And the same to the others who are moving/improving.

Love the fridge, Dida! I'm slowly sneaking red things into our kitchen to brighten it up, but I think DH would draw the line at a red fridge :( He's Mr Conservative and hates anything too "in your face"

Mrsj, I got some feeding tops from H&M last time which were good value.

I'll be digging out our Bababing bag that we had for DS. It's practical rather than pretty, but I loved the fact that it has loads of pockets and a really nice padded mat built in. I did wonder about getting a new bag for this baby, but whilst there are loads of pretty ones about, I'd probably end up returning to the Bababing one just because it's so practical.

Only 7 more working days to go :D I have an exam on my last day, did a mock test last night and looks like I'll be getting a big fat fail :( I really don't know what possessed me to book an exam for my last day before maternity leave.

Hmmm....I hadn't thought about that - thanks! I don't want to have to spend every precious moment of my potential nap time having to rock a moses basket!

How are you today Metranil Vavin? When I saw your post I was a little concerned about your liver (cholestasis or pre-eclampsia) but didn't want to post in case I alarmed you. I'm pleased you got it checked out and hope you're feeling much better this morning.

My OH is colour blind - so if I tell him it looks good - he goes along with it as he doesn't know otherwise!!! :D:D:D

    Morning guys.

Thanks for the concern. I spent 3 hours at Kings last night, luckily it looks like I am just hugely constipated and everything had ground to something of a halt.

I have been given various things to take so hope to be 'relieved' soon. I am still feeling very uncomfortable this morning with a nasty stitch-like pain in my side (this was worrying me most), but the Dr said it's bowel related and my belly was swollen.

Off to work now. I'm late of course as I didn't get home till after midnight and 6am just wasn't happening for me this morning. I dont expect any sympathy from my boss..I'm sure she thinks one should just 'soldier on' regardless.

PS - we have a pink Smeg fridge in our kitchen which is just gorgeous. Had it quite a few years now, and OH wasn't sure at all on the colour, but now loves it as much as I do.

It looks like a big pink milkshake! :D
