We went for this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004MY51CC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which seems to have been updated to.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Infant-to-Toddler-Rocker-and-Seat/dp/B00AXX7476/ref=dp_ob_title_baby
Which is annoying as it's even nicer and now comes in pink
We wanted something that would last a long time so thought the toddler chair element of it was ideal0 -

I've been looking at this one which seems like the same idea?;

Seems the same idea but I like the fact it's portable as we go to my gran's every Sunday and I don't want her to have to sit in her car seat if she wants a sleep (not that she'll be put down long enough by my family to need it :rotfl:)My Debt Free Diary

We have a babybjorn one which folds flat and was perfect for travelling about etc when little one was a bit older. Unfortunately it doesn't play music orr anything like that. We got a phil and teds high pod and it's been excellent as it lays flat so we could put Roo in it whilst we had dinner when he was really tiny.
Just realised my list of things to do is getting even longer. I've just realised talking about high chairs. Roo is going to be evicted from his and has one that fits on top of a chair and he can sit at the table. But we har a very nice table and need a wipe clean table cloth before that can happen! Think I might be nipping out this week to get that. Moses basket should be arriving in the next couple of days as has been dispatched. And am currently bartering with the seller on a changing bag...... Think I'm going to have to do a shop tomorrow then another maybe at the weekend, really want to make sure were well stocked food wise.
Just got a call from my health visitor, she's coming over tomorrow, really not a fan of her at all, she is completely useless. Was rubbish at giving any advice when I needed it with roo. Would rather she didn't come round to be honest, but I don't really have much choice on that one.0 -
Congrats SplanK. Hope Harry is doing well and your OH is well on the road to recovery now.
Labour vibes for clarets, I hope you don't have to wait much longer.
For anyone worrying about pigpen, she's been on FB in the last few days so I'm pretty sure she's OK. Probably just been too busy to get on here.
As for me, I ache and I'm fed up of being pregnant. Only another month to go... DS is in his new room, but his old one is now full of junk so I am no more organised for the babyNext job is to fling all of the crap from there.

Afternoon ladies, havent posted much but keep up to date with u all.
Congratulations splank on the birth of your baby, hope your wife recovers quickly.
Anyway wanted to ask a question- i'm 23 weeks now and have been having really low down pains all day? Has anyone else had this. It feels almost like period pains, but really painful. I havent bothered the midwife yet but may have to if it carries on. Baby feels really really low down so that could have something to do with it i suppose. Its so uncomfortable though. There is a hospital a mile from where i am in work with a maternity unit and i have thought of popping over, but if its 'normal' ill try and wait for it to pass.
The pains last a minute or so and then disappear. This is my 2nd baby, dd is almost 8, but i dont remember this last time.Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Hey missy nice to hear from you, can't believe you've only 10 days to go
sending some labour vibes your way and to anyone else who needs them I've another 18 weeks yet til due date lol although I'm having an elective c-section which I'm guessing will be done earlier than my due date?? Didn't even think to ask the consultant, anyone and idea? Xx

Congrats Splank!! Lovely news, hope your wife has got some strength back.
Claree- Fro what age will the baby need a high chair? It hadn't even crossed my mind, oops! I have bought a swing chair that also vibrates in a stationary mode and plays music but have heard lots of people saying their babies didn't like swings, so will see-can always get a cheap bouncy chair if need be.
Missy-what changing bag you getting?I'm off to liverpool next week, so hoping there'll be loads in the big John Lewis to have a proper look at.
Littleskintdragon- At 23 weeks, I didn't have any pains and tbh don't really remember feeling where the baby was lying so can't advise I'm afraid.
Had my MW app this morn and my BP was a little high-I didn't like to tell her me and OH had had a bit of a tiff right before my app and so I rushed there in a filthy mood!Could have had something to do with it!? So she wants it checked again before the weekend as my feet and ankles are still pretty swollen. Baby measured at 34.5cm and I'm 34+2 so about right I'd say, not the tiddler I'm hoping for though! ha. She said I had a little character in there as he/she kept sticking it's bum out when she was having a feel, this is it's fave position making me look like alien-tummy!
I have signed up to go to a little breastfeeding class on thurs, just an hour and only 5 in the class so that should be ok. Also made my birth plan, I pretty much just said 'see how it goes'! I don't know if I want epidural/diamorphine til i'm there in pain really, do i!?0 -
Little skint dragon. I'd ring and speak to your midwife to put your mind at rest as you'll worry all night otherwise. And one persons normal isn't the same as another's so I def would get it checked out just to sve you worrying.
Hey Bells! I don't know much about c sections but I think they're done slightly sooner than your due date.
I've been soooo lazy today, I've done absolutely nothing! Well apart from looked at changing bags on eBay, a seller has just got bag to me and quoted an astronomical amount for a bag so i dot think I'll be having that one. Really should go out for a walk, get me and roo some fresh air but I just can't find the energy. Will do more tomorrow.0 -
I'd say six months for a high chair, we aren't planning on getting one until Christmas as she won't be sat up and eating until then.
Claree - that one does look very similar, like the portability too.
I don't understand why changing bags are so expensive, I'm just going to use the one that comes with our travel system. We have the free boots one for leaving with anyone babysitting as that holds enough for a day or night.0 -
We got one of the few high chairs that are from 0 months as if I was in the kitchen I could put Roo down as it laid flat as i said above. Was well worth it. I know what you're saying about changing bags sparkles. But I love handbags and find that I don't carry one at all andbHaven't for the last 18 months, and don't see myself using one for the next two years, and I'm sick of the sight of Roos changing bag, so i thought if I got a nice changing bag I wouldn't feel like i was missing my much loved handbags!!!0
