I nipped into Primark again to look at their night time things for my hospital bag. Now, some of you might see this as a bit silly but, as dressing gowns and I don't get on, this might be of use to some of you. They are selling fleece hooded ponchos which have a wide v-neck and just cover our bumps. I bought one and they are really cosy and cuddily to wear. At £8 they are a bargain. There are, however, wide sleeves but I can't imagine these irritating any lines/drips that the hospital staff may put into the back of our hands/inside elbow.

Ok OH has gone away now. Hugely tired today, really expecting the sods law factor to kick in and my waters to break now! Think I'm nesting though, the house feels like the hugest mess, will try and have a bit of a clean through when Roo goes to bed, if I can stay awake long enough that is! Need to nip to Argos in the near future to pick up the last few baby things we need and write my last assignment and that's me more than ready!

I hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday weekend x

Fingers crossed that you won't go into labour! You know, I have spent the day putting babies room together. I have decided and put where his furniture is going, put away all of his clean clothes into his chest of drawers and made his cot bed up knowing full well that he won't be using it for a while.

I have put his Moses basket into our room, giving our furbabies some time to get used to it and done goodness knows how many loads of washing. Not looking forward to the Mt Everest high pile of ironing though!

Ah missy I hope oyu don't go into labour now! What kind of things you got left to buy? I feel like I have got everything I need now but just not sure! Got my Mam to pick up 1 tiny baby outfit today- just in case- she doesn't think I will have a tiny one but u never know!I can dream! ha.
Snoz did they have any good button nighties? Or thin dressing gowns? I am off to Liverpool in a couple of weeks and want to get all those kind of bits then.
Went to visit my friend and her 4 wk old baby over the weekend, he is so cute and she seems to be coping really well!So kinda feel not as crapping myself! She had made me a hamper of things she thought were handy- sock ons, raspberry leaf tea, nipple cream, arnica tablets, bath soak, mini speakers with white noise on! Ace stuff, couldn't believe she'd found the time! Then I got home and my prizes from a dreamgenii comp on Baby Expert had arrived! A huge box with feeding pillow, cot bumper, swaddle blanket, other blanket (receiving?) and a Blossom and Bloom pamper set which will come in so handynow as it has stretch mark cream-which I've nearly run out of, foot spray-which my swollen elephant feet are in dire need of and bath soak which will come in handy as I am soon going to start having baths! So even thought i felt like i had most baby stuff, i have ended up with loads more!

They had a nice stripy nighty - it's like a big shirt dress which also feels lovely. I didn't see any thin dressing gowns though.

Also, is anyone else finding that maternity stuff comes up massive? I tried on my usual size (16) and they were literally hanging off me! I've found this in a few shops now. I did think it was just cos my bump wasn't big enough but now at almost 27 weeks I'm thinking it can't be that.

Um, no :o I was a 14 before (bottoms) and 12/14 on top and although at 12 weeks, the trousers came up big (baggy bum/ loose bump bit), now I've outgrown my size 14 trousers (2 weeks ago at 24 weeks). Now I'm in 16s and I'm even wondering if they will see me through :s I'm just about in size 14 tops, no way they will last. I'm already in size 16 vests I got from primark, was hoping they would be good for July/August, but looks like I'm going to have to get some more in 18, maybe even 20 :s

Just had a horrendous nose bleed, so bad that I was choking on it too. I've only ever had one before and that was when I was pregnant with Roo. Does anyone else suffer with nose bleeds in pregnancy? I really don't like them, they really make me jump!
Not horrendous ones, but I've never had a nose bleed in my life, so don't know if that makes you more susceptible if you already suffer from them? I'm getting little mini nose bleeds when I blow.

I'm also getting bits of blood in my nose when I blow it, and really blocked sinuses. I think all these things are an annoying side effect of pregnancy.

    How are you going Giz??

I bought some vests from Primark last week in size 12. They are fab. £1.50 each and so comfy and long enough. I hate vest tops that ride up and show an unflattering gap of flesh round the middle!

Snozberry, I've too got yet another load of ironing to do, it seems never ending as I'm trying to keep on top of it just in case, that and the fact I only have 4 dressed I can wear and i don't want to run out of clothes! Have tried to do some bits whilst roo has been awake. I've cleaned the bathroom bar the bath as roo was in it, unloaded the dishwasher, put the washing away, cleare the table, made up the bed and started to sort the utility. Just waiting for Roo to fall asleep so I can do some more, really feel like I need to get sorted!

Dippy I need to get window shades for the car, another changing mat and a Moses basket mattress. Most if not all I think I can get from argoos. Sounds like you've got some lovely stuff, especially the comp stuff, you must be thrilled!

Still am yet to get another changing bag, we do have one but it's just a denim one from mothercare, not particularly nice. If I get another one I'll have to pay for it as OH doesn't see the need! So I'll have a think.

Matalan are usually good for dressing gowns, thinking about it, I've packed mine in my hospital bag and I have no idea if it even does up?! Has Everyone remembered to pack their great big knickers in their hospital bags? I got a pack of six, high waisted soft, black primark ones for a couple of pound and they did the job perfectly. I honestly think I have too much in my hospital bag, oH moved it downstairs before he went but I can barely lift it, think it might be the 2 books and copious bags of sweets, think I'm being rather hopeful on that front lol. Will definitely repack it tonight!

Glad it's not just me with the dodgy nose. I had the fair blood whenever I blew my nose this whole pregnancy but then got the full on horrendous nose bleed last night. I really hope I don't get any more, I get all panicy god knows why, I've dealt with worse!!!!!

Just to let you know (I didn't know this until I had my baby) I found window shades pointless if your baby's in an infant carrier, i.e. one that faces backwards. They're only needed once the baby's in a forward-facing seat.

So you don't actually need them until about nine - 12 months (depending on the size of your baby and how quickly you move up to the next stage seat).

Oooh thanks fluffnutter I've got them on the other side for toddler and just thought I'd need them now, but you're very probably right, I don't think I bought them until he was in his bigger seat, so thanks for that :)

Nesting has definitely kicked in this evening. I thought I'd be too tired to do anymore, but have done all the ironing and put it all away, have Put the Moses basket back together, cleaned the microwave and finished tidying. Still have lots to do tomorrow, but I'm v pleased with my progress today. Didnt get my bag repacked but will do it tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a nice evening.
