Please don't listen to them when they say about sizes. I was measuring small. (DD1 was 7lbs 5oz so they thought DD2 would be the same. No bigger than 8lbs. DD2 came out at 9lbs 1.5oz! They really don't know what they're talking about as the baby can be in different positions all, the time.

I went on to a site today that the community can predict the sex through something called NUB theory. I posted my picture and they said Boy :D I would be sooo happy if that was true in 4 weeks time :D

LOTS of people.. I get enormous with mine so get that a lot.. I either reply 'oh' or 'so what' or 'I'm not as rude as you are now, touch!'

Just ignore it.. you always get stupid comments, if you let them annoy you, you will have a very unhappy pregnancy.

To be honest I'd be inclined to respond "well in a few months most of this will be gone, but you'll still be ignorant" ;)

I agree with Nene on the size issue - the fundal height measurement is far from accurate. I was measuring 2 weeks behind towards the end of my last pregnancy - DS was 9lb 4oz when he turned up 6 days late (or 4 days late, going on my dates).

Yeah exact same thing happened to me. Apparently my baby was no more than 7lb, a shoulder dystocia and a 4th degree tear later and out popped my 9lb son. What annoys me is I was concerned about that from the start being small framed and 5ft 2, if I'd have known he was going to be on the bigger side I'd would have had a section, which I could have opted for having previously had one with DS2.

Sorry I don't want to worry anyone who may be having a bigger baby, everybody else I know who's had bigger babies have had no problems.

Could I ask what site that was? I don't want to know the sex but enjoy guessing and asking other people to guess! There is definitely no nub showing on my scan pic though, can you see one on yours? I've read about the angle of the dangle stuff which is really interesting! Just couldn't get a good glimpse of anything at my scan!
  • Hello ladies.

Ignore all comments from other people about how big you look! I was told by a lady who has 3 children that I was so big had the mw not mentioned it? However every mw said I had a designer bump it was that neat!! Some people are just rude!!

Thank god no one said what size baby I was having I couldn't think of anything worse!! It would make me worry with it being my first, the thought of knowing I had to give birth to an actual size would scare me. Luckily my lo was just under 7 so pretty average, I think. Unless its a problem occurs why do you need telling it could be 9pounds? :)

oooohhh all of this talk about tearing and having whoppers is scary! In the ideal world, my baby will pop out being thinner than Flat Stanley and will slowly inflate to a normal, healthy baby weight as soon as he takes his first breath! haha.
